You are very kind! Thank you. Parking is the reason. The downtown/theater district/financial district (South Station area) can be hectic if you have a car. I do not mind Copley area since there are several places around Copley where I can park for "free" for a few days. I later rebid and got 4* Cambridge-Brookline (Hotel@MIT) for $85. Please let me know if I can be an assistant to you!

I finally got the deal! (see the previous posting for detail) I Tried... Cambridge-Brookline, Copley 4* 8.7.05-8.9.05 $85 and it took the bid first time around. The Hotel@MIT was going for $150 at their own and some other websites.

Started from $60, tried several times, and it still was rejected at $80.

My mistake! It was my SECOND bid. I tried 4* cambridge-brookline for $85 and it was rejected. so i included 3*, and kept the same price $85.

This was my first bid. When I did my "homework" before bidding, most hotel rates at "decent" places in Boston-Cambridge area were greater than $200. The Hyatt rate was about $140 at Hotwire. I probably could have gotten a room for bit less, but I did not want to take a chance since my friends were coming in town in 4 days!
