  1. Finally! Success! I won the 3* Sheraton Suites for $80 on PRICELINE through your link. After much deliberatin, HOTWIRE searches, and endless PRICELINE attempts.. I am happy with this particular hotel I have stayed there before. I saved $79 off lowest web rate I saw,($159) or $26 off lowest Hotwire rate we saw. They have a manager's reception on Thursdays, so the free snack and drinks will also be very welcome after the long flight from Spain.

Thank you again for all your Hotwire assitance! I lost my fear of getting that Holiday Inn stadium (with no shuttle!) once i saw it was a 2.5* on priceline.. not a 3*.

Your Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $80.00

    Subtotal: $80.00

    Taxes & Service Fees: $19.13

    Total Charges*: $99.13

  2. wow. i wonder if the priceline hotels at THE airport area are also doing the same at that level. kind of worrisome now.

i have never seen a priceline bid at phl with no shuttle. but then again.. there is always a first time.

if i do hotwire, i will definitely only accept a hotel with THE shuttle icon. thanks for the heads up.

i have to admit, now i am afraid to do priceline with three stars. i have been losing bidding from $60 up to $70. At $68 got an offer to bid again $17 for a room. (3 or 4*) . I would have a fit if i got a hotel with no shuttle. Any comments?

    will keep you posted.

  3. ( $105..not $107)

My first time using HOTWIRE and I am really happy with this hotel for our D.C. stay.

There are three adults and one child, so the buffet breakfast and afternoon snacks will be quite welcome, as well as the pool.

Parking will be an expensive problem, but I read somewhere there is a Municipal lot two blocks away. If anyone has that exact info.. well appreciated!!

  4. Not being able to use Priceline this trip, as a friend decided to come along and we would be too many to a room, I was able to get a room for three adults and one child for this short trip through HOTWIRE.

This worked out great, and cheaper than bidding two rooms on Priceline, of course.

    Amenities were

Airport Shuttle, Fitness Center, Pool, Business Center

    1 room(s) @ $53.00 per night x 2 night(s)

    $106.00

    Tax recovery charge and fees

    Hotel subtotal $19.38

    $125.38

I used your HOTWIRE link, of course.

  5. Finally gave up on 3*, going up to $52 and $54 every day with free rebid zones.

I then opened new window and made new bid for 2.5* at $39 hoping to get the Hyatt Place that seems to be on HOTWIRE for $59.

bravo! Got it on first bid.

Actually, from my summer experience, many of these new 2.5 * hotels are almost a step above some of the 3* ones!

So should I post this separately now?

    MCI 2.5* $39 Hyatt Place MCI April 30/May 1.

Thanks for your help. I used your PRICELINE link, of course.

  6. i see you rpoint.

since there are so many free rebid zones.. pretty easy to take it up slowly.

am I correct in assuming and being SURE that if today , when i bid , if on priceline's map there are no 3 star hotels in an area i use as free rebid..... that that is so??

just want to make sure i can't accidentally get accepted in a zone i wasn't counting on as the MCI is the ONLY zone acceptable.
