I was also able to select a room type of two double beds oceanfront, which eliminated the possibility of a non-oceanfront property.

Traveling to a conference with sold out rooms at the Renaissance for this date. I wanted to find something close by and ended up with the L'Enfant Plaza Hotel for $105 for the night. Placed bid at $90 and was offered a free re-bid at $105, which I used. Quick Metro ride away. I'll take it.

I just booked two rooms in The Westin Aruba Resort in Palm Beach, Aruba for $120 a night thru Priceline for April 16 - April 21 2012. I started bidding earlier in the week at $85 and skipped from $105 to $120, which was accepted. I actually bid for a 4 star hoping for the Marriott but was upgraded to Resort level at the Westin. I have stayed at the Westin previously and am happy with the hotel, especially considering the lowest reduced rates published on the web that I could find are $258.00 for the same dates.
