I started bidding from $55 which was rejected and a rebid for $64 was offered, which I rejected. I then added North Tuscon as an additional area and bid $60 which was accepted.
Just bid $40 based on previous wins on here.
Just found out that this hotel charges for parking and also adds on a resort fee. So keep that in mind when bidding.
Forgot to include that, they'll add a resort fee when you check out. I forgot how much it is.
If you are planning to visit mount dora, put "howey in the hills, fl" as the city and enter $70 or less as your bid and you should get Mission Inn Resort & Club. It is the only hotel in that town and is about 20 minutes away from Mount Dora. Its a very nice and quiet resort/golf/tennis club in the middle of nowhere.
My first bid of $70 + $10 free bonus cash that Priceline added to my bid = $80, was accepted. I normally start all my priceline bidding at $50 and work my way up. I dunno why I didn't do that this time. I bet I could've gotten it for less. I was hoping to to try to get the Hilton Bonnet Creek. Oh well, next time.
2.5* The Black Hills (Mt. Rushmore) Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Keystone
in Priceline Hotels - South Dakota

Started at $50 for a 2* in the mt. rushmore area, it was rejected
increased to $60 for a 2* in the mt. rushmore area and while processing the bid, priceline automatically upgraded my hotel star level to a 2.5* and gave me the holiday inn express in Keystone. The regular price at the time for this hotel on priceline was only $69.99. Not much of a savings.
By specifying 2*, we were hoping to get the 2* Mt. Rushmore's White House Resort, since they accept pets. The holiday inn express doesn't accept pets. We didn't know that priceline will automatically upgrade the star level.
