We made up our minds and went for it: It really turned out to be the Sheraton Maui Hotel. Check-in: Aug 31, 2012, Check-out: Sep 6, 2012 Amenities: Resort, Beachfront Property, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Laundry Facilities (self-service, High-Speed Internet Access, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Spa Services, Children's Activity Program. 2 Adults & 2 Children, Rooms 1, 180 $/nite. Could it be the Sheraton or Hyatt? Which resort is generally considered to be better given the same nightly rate? The Hyatt seems to have a nicer and lusher garden. The pools also look more inviting. Overall the Hyatt seems to be better for familes with kids aged 9 and 8, doesn't it? Where would you want to be staying if you were going there with your family? Thanks for your kind answers.

The amount was for the entire stay inclusive of all taxes and fees. The rate per nite was $89 (without taxes and fees). Sorry for the confusion !

Sorry, you are right. I quoted for the entire six nights inclusive EVERYTHING. I can confirm, nightly rate is $126 before taxes and fees. I have been receiving an email by HOTWIRE customer care informing me that the property would no-longer provide an airport shuttle which was originally displayed in the amenities section at the time of the booking. Hotwire have offered a cancellation with a full refund OR keeping the reservation and receiving 25% of my entire hotel stay in HotDollar being equivalent to one U.S. dollar and is available for one year from the date of issuance. HotDollars can be used for any hotel, flight, or Hotwire hot Rate rental car booking on Hotwire. So I give it a second thought as to what I will be doing. It could well be that I have it refunded and go for a more upmarket place closer to the beach or even on the beach. What amuses me most is the fact that Hotwire approached me today only some 5 hours after I posted the deal on betterbidding.com !
