I was wondering...Is it too early for me to start planning the airfare on this or should I wait 4-5 months out? Plus - if I go through Priceline for airline tix what is the possibility of getting shafted with leaving at 12:40 am?

I bid $99 on 5* on the strip. It immediately came back with an offer for $135 for that night with no options to rebid incrementally. Did I do it wrong??

I am going to Vegas on the 19th of January for my 40th bday and would love to stay at the Venetian. What should be my strategy for priceline? Should I wait closer to the date of arrival & have a backup hotel just in case? I am planning to go with another couple and their kid. Are there any 2 room suites on the strip?
