  1. $54 a night and taxes + fees in and the total is $68.75 Very good review on TripAdvisor. Parking is $10/night but Internet access is complimentary in the room (wireless) Looking forward to staying here. Thank you.
  2. I tried $61 first but didn't get any offer and put in another $15 and got this one. Pretty good reviews on TripAdvisor. Looking forward to staying here. Mom-in-law will be flying overseas on the 5th so hopefully everyone will have a good night sleep.
  3. First bid at $70 was accepted. I read some reviews on TripAdvisor and it looks like this is a pretty nice place. Looking forward to staying here! Thanks.
  4. First bid of $45 was accepted. Good review on TripAdvisor.
  5. I just booked the Holiday Inn Brentford Lock outside London for a few nights in early December via Hotwire. Pretty decent price at $54 USD/night. Does anyone know how long it will take to get to downtown London? how about Gatwick Airport? We may take a flight after we check out. Thanks.
  6. Sorry, the date is December 11 - December 12. I tried from $70 and got accepted at $91.
  7. I am very happy with the booking. Looking forward to this.
  8. Used the PRICELINE links to get a room at the 4* Marriott Toronto Airport for 1 night next week Check in Monday September 08 and check out the next day $80. Decent review on TA so looking forward to this.
  9. I used the PRICELINE link here and snagged a room at the Holiday Inn West (again!) for $55/night $133.08 after taxes and service fees in. I would like to stay at another place because I already booked this hotel for an evening 1 week before this date but I guess when you are on a limited budget you can't be choosers. Cheers!
  10. Hey Will hope to see you here bud, hope all goes well I read a good article in the National Post yesterday about hotels struggling to fill rooms with the American economy in a recession. Here's hoping that would give us some good deals.
  11. I have booked a room at the 3* Holiday Inn Miami-Airport West for $50/night, checking in December 5th and checking out December 6th. I named my own price $50 in my first try and got accepted without any problem. It's minutes from the airport and since our flight will arrive in Miami around mid-night, it is the perfect location. The reviews about this place is mixed on TripAdvisor but for $50/night ($64.14 taxes and fees in) I guess we can't be choosers. Cheers!
  12. Folks, i just put on a bid $45 for 3* hotel and got accepted for the Holiday Inn Toronto Airport East, 600 Dixon Road in Toronto. My zones are pretty flexible: Airport, Downtown, East, West, DVP. We'll be checking out Niagara Falls and Skydome and CN Tower and whatnot from Saturday until Monday. We will be there for 2 nights and have 2 rooms, total with taxes and fees come to $214.82 USD. This is my first time using PriceLine ever so please let me know if this is a good deal ? My buddy told me the hotels in the airport area are usually very cheap in the weekend because they are there for business customers and obviously there is not a whole lot of business to be done on the weekend. My question is should I go back and try to *lower* the bid ? i.e. put in $35 and see what comes up with respect to 3* hotel ? or should I be happy to get this deal and just shut the hell up!! Also the page said that the rooms will accommodate 2 adults. Does that mean it's single-bed or double-bed ? We are looking to put 4 people in a room. If i want to cancel this one and try with a lower price, do I have to call customer service to cancel the booking ? I think my credit card has been charged already Thanks folks in advance for your help here.
  13. Thanks Will I think i'll stick with Priceline for hotels and take care of the flights, at least internationally, with the brick & mortar folks Although one of my friend booked a ticket to South Korea (albeit in Feb, low-season) for a sweet $1K via Expedia.com so online deals could still be had Thanks again
  14. OK folks i just went to www.priceline.ca and it doesn't look very legit so I went to www.priceline.com and it said that all flight departures have to be from an U.S. airport so that's a lil bit troublesome there Anyway i put in Buffalo (which is the closest airport down south I think) for departure and destination as Seoul, South Korea and the cheapest price that comes up is around $1,600 USD i think So i put in $1,000 for my Name your own ticket price and with taxes that comes to $1,100 but I haven't put in any personal info yet because I don't know if some airlines will be able to match this price.... Anyone has experience travelling internationally from Canada and dealing with Priceline please put in your $.002 I don't mind driving down to Buffalo but obviously i'd prefer to depart from Ottawa or MTL Thanks
  15. Hi folks i'm new here! Just wondering how international travel works with Priceline, for Canadians to boot! Has anyone got a great deal booking flights to Asia ? I've always relied on the travel agents in Chinatown before to get my tickets to Asia...i got a return ticket to South Korea last X-mas (high season i reckon) for $1,500 If there's something better on Priceline, i'm all for that...i'm pretty flexible in terms of travelling too, i.e. stopovers, last-minute flights etc bring 'em on If i could save some dough, i'm all for it! Please let me know your take on booking flights to far-flung locales, i"ll worry about the hotels after
