  1. Always use the better bidding HOTWIRE link: Hotel Amenities are: Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Laundry Facilities (self-service)
  2. Hi, I always use the betterbidding HOTWIRE link. Ammenties Smoke Free Rooms Airport Shuttle Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Thanks.
  3. Used the HOTWIRE link recommended by the great moderator. Ammenties are listed as: Amenities See description Airport Shuttle, Complimentary Breakfast, Fitness Center, Business Center, Laundry Facilities, High-speed Internet Access
  4. Hi, A few people have noted a new 4 star disneyland south hotel that only recently appeared. I booked this for 4 nights at $65 and its the Hyatt Orange County. I've stayed there before, nice hotel and the shuttle is a nice addition. Amenities: Fitness, pool, rest., business centre, internet, golf nearby, tennis nearby
  5. Hi, I did some research and really wanted to stay at the Marriot. It's on a good beach, walking distance to the Kings Club food joints (a huge plus in expensive Hawaiian resorts), has a refridgerator. I used this site (as I always do) before I bid on PRICELINE / HOTWIRE and did indeed get the Marriott. Resort Class $98, 09-13 to 09-20. The rate at Marriot.com is $199. But forgive me I forgot to use the PRICELINE link of this site. If it's any consolation I used the HOTWIRE link twice last week. Thanks for this great site.
  6. Hi, Bid for 3 star Disneyland at $50 asked me to raise bid to $64. Added Anaheim hills (someone else noted no 3 stars in area) upped bid to $57. Got the Hyatt at Garden Grove (Orange County). Used the saving barn link, but I think you should make it more easier for people to find. Why not just put a link on this website to it? Thanks for all your help over the years. As I said before, I take twice as many holidays thanks to Theaurse.
  7. Actually, I'm fairly certain its the Oceanfront Hilton EDITED by THEREUARE: see my comment below
  8. You got it right $81. Too good to be true. I'll see how it goes and report back.
  9. Hmmm. I couldn't work the amenities the way you mentioned, but went back to hotwire, made another search and found them: Suite Airport Shuttle Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center Laundry Facilities High-speed Internet Access Kitchenette
  10. Worked this out from a previous post. Great rate for a weekend in Charleston. Tripadvisor reviews are good as well!
  11. Hooray for thereuare! Ammenties are: Resort Beachfront Restaurant(s) Pool(s) Fitness Center Spa Services Kitchenette Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) I tried booking weekend dates and the price jumps to $139, but mid week is a great rate for a 4*
  12. Hi, I saw everyone bidding $65 and getting 4* hotels in london but this did not work for me. Maybe its due to the Chelsea garden show or just because I left it too late (two months before I leave). Anyway, I upped my bid to $80 and still no success so I moved dates to before the graden show and bid $85 and got this hotel. It's a little high, but still a win given the prepurchase no cancellation rate of this hotel is 95 !!!pounds!!! per night not dollars. I forgot to go to priceline via the saving barn but will do so next time. :)
  13. Hi, I need a bit of help. I read through the threads and bid: $70 for Soho-Mayfair, Kensington and Bloomberry for 05/23/06 to 05/28/06 but no takers. Particularly surprised for the Kensington part as others have got this for <$70 before many times and quite a few hotels in the area use priceline. Is my lack of sucess because 1): Bidding too late (only 6 weeks out) or 2): some other event makes these dates bad (i.e. Chelsea flower show)
  14. According to one of the moderators's own emails I believe it is the Extended Stay : Extended Stay America Los Angeles - LAX Airport It seems to be the only hotel within LAX area that has only a kitchen and laundry and nothing else (no shuttle). It is currently listed at Hotwire for $39. I tried Priceline for $45 and got an embassy suites
  15. Hi, Gosh I like Priceline and I love this site. The money I saved from these two sites essentially doubles the amount of holidays/trips I can take. :-) Bid 3 star $38 but rejected. I went to this site and saw 3 stars around LAX were had for $42. Went back to priceline and bid $45 to be sure and got: Embassy Suites Hotel Los Angeles-International Airport North a very nice hotel but not to be confused with the the South LAX Embassy Suites which is a shade nicer.
  16. Just as a follow up, I was pleasantly surprised to find that we were given a very nice room on the 9th floor overlooking the old city. Previously, I thought that hotwire or priceline customers got the poorer rooms, but this was one of the best. The windows were as wide as the room!
  17. Hi, Got a great deal with priceline. Hilton (3 star with Priceline, 4 star Hotwire). Nice modern hotel. Hilton web site : CAN$190 Hotwire : US$112 Priceline : started at $65, went to $75 boom. got it. Dates 07/25 - 07/29 Rock on priceline!!!
