  1. Thanks for the help. I was afraid of this but I was hoping to find something with a strong likelihood of it being the property I wanted. I can't take the chance though so I think I will be looking to book regularly. Please close this. Thanks again.
  2. Hi, I am looking to book for the above dates, but I am specifically looking for the ARIA. I was wondering which Priceline or Hotwire listing might this be or how I can get the best rate. Thanks in advance.
  3. Thanks a lot for the help everybody. After much research and hesitation, I finally decided to go for the Priceline Express deal. It ended up being the Cincinnati Marriott North. I am very happy with this. Thanks again everybody.
  4. Thanks. Looking at the regular list view, the following 3* hotels are listed in the West Chester zone: Courtyard Marriott (8.9 rating) Marriott (9.2 rating) Hilton (8.7 rating) Residence Inn (9.2 rating) Staybridge (7.9 rating) Does it have to be one these or could it be a hotel that is not listed on the regular list? If it has to be one of these, then only the Hilton or Courtyard Marriott, like you mentioned, fall under the 8+ guest rating.
  5. It shows as West Chester Area Hotel and it also shows an 8+ guest rating.
  6. I would say the absolute max I would like to spend is about $85 per night, but ideally I would be thrilled to get something for around $55-60. If $55-60 is too unrealistic given that there is only a week left, I would go for this $69 Price.line hotel or the $78 Hot.wire hotel. I see on PRICELINE EXPRESS there is a 3* for $70 showing the following amenities: Free Internet Free Parking Swimming Pool Fitness Center Restaurant Business Center Is there a good chance this could be something like the Marriott? I know there is always a risk with this, but I don't want to go through with it if there is a good chance it could be something like the Red Lion
  7. Thanks a lot for the help. The amenities do match what you listed so it looks like it might the be Red Lion Hotel. Disappointing because the TA reviews do look pretty bad for this hotel. I was hoping not to spend that much but I might have to go for the second option you listed. Are there any other options I can use to try and find something? It seems that Priceline wouldn't work since there is a risk of getting the Red Lion with a 3* Name Your Price.
  8. Hi, I am looking to book a hotel in North Cincinnati-West Chester-Sharonville. On Hotwire there is a 3.5* for $50 (regular $149) with the following amenities: Fitness Center Pet Friendly Free Parking and Internet Pool Restaurant I was thinking of just going for it, but it only showing a guest rating of 25% recommended. Thanks in advance.
  9. Sorry for the late response. These were booked through regular rates.
  10. Thanks again for the help everybody. Since the date was approaching, I started increasing the bidding increments. I tried $110, then $120, then $130 but was rejected for both areas. I found a 3* hotel with Saturday rate of $151 so I just booked that and then booked a 2* hotel for $130.
  11. Hi, I tried bidding up to $85 for both regions yesterday, but got rejected. I am going to try again today, but I guess it's my last chance. I checked on the Maps and Hotels site and it was showing $149 for the Hyatt Downtown Buffalo. When I clicked it, the price went up to $169 though. Also, Hotwire is showing a secret rate of $151, which I am guessing is for the same hotel. What amount should I bid today?
  12. Thanks again for the advice. I was not able to get a booking for a price that I liked so I cancelled the trip.
  13. Thanks for the replies. Sorry about not following up on my previous thread. I will do so now. I am not sure how much the fees are but I would like keep it at $120 max including taxes and fees.
  14. Hi, I know this is sort of last minute, but I am looking for a 3 star hotel around either Downtown Buffalo or Niagara Falls, NY. I checked sites and they are showing $180 per night at the lowest with many around $200 per night. I don't know if this is realistic, but I was hoping to find something for under $100. I think I understand re-bid zones, but it looks like there are only 2 other zones I could use for rebidding. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
  15. Thanks for the information. The star rating I'm looking for is 3-star and higher.
  16. Hi, I was looking for a hotel for the long weekend; check-in June 30th, check-out July 2nd. Ideally I would like a room with a fallsview. I checked out Hotwire first because from what I hear it seems like you have a little more control over which hotel you get. There really didn't seem to be much available, and also I'm not sure which area I should be looking for. At first I thought 0.0 - 2.0 miles from city center, but now I think it might be 2.2 - 2.5 miles. With Priceline, again, which zone should I be looking for? Is it Zone 1? Also, what strategies should I use when bidding? From looking at prices regularly, the rates are about $225 per night. Would $75 be a good starting bid? I would like to spend around $125-150 per night if possible. If I get a room without a fallsview, is it possible to ask for a fallsview room after? Finally, is it possible to apply auto club discounts after?
