We got Le Meridien on Saturday night for $99... and again on Monday night for $99. Valet parking is comparatively outrageous at $52 plus tax ($57 total). We found street parking the second time we stayed and fed the meter... a bit of a pain, but much cheaper. GREAT hotel - large rooms, amazing beds! Decent location, not much for nightlife nearby, but walking distance to Union Square and Chinatown... a little further (but still walkable) to the Wharf. Remember to have lots of dollar bills in your pocket for all the people you have to tip.

Started bidding at $35. They came back at $50 and I took it... but, they tried to automatically add the $10 insurance fee. I had NOT checked the box for insurance. I had to monkey around going back and forth trying to remove the insurance. Finally, I clicked on the "taxes and fees". After that, when I went back to the buy screen, the insurance was magically removed... hmmmm... so, watch for that to happen.
