Accepted on first bid. May have gone directly to 3* if it had not been, 3* more likely to have free breakfast and internet.

Bid $38 for 3*, PL countered with $46. Rebid at $42, accepted. Total $55 with fees and tax. Would not have gone any higher on PL, or bid for lower than 3*. Would likely have done a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal with Expedia or other site with lower add-on fees. Nice hotel, about 10 minutes from airport.

No car, bid for historic district only for walk-ability. Rejected at $70 for 4* and 3.5*. $68 accepted for 3*, no other 3* bids tried.

Thanks, I'll try the bus system. I don't usually bring a car to Montreal because of the good transit system and the uncertainty of parking options when using PRICELINE.

Using Priceline's 1 day sale today that adds $10 to my bid, I did a sequence of bids including $80 and $85 on 3 1/2 and 4*, none successful. I used both the Downtown zone and the Convention Center/Old Montreal zone. I then added 3* and kept the bid at $85 which was successful. With Priceline's addition my total bid was $95. The weekend following, 6/8 through 6/10, is Grand Prix Montreal which apparently brings in a lot of people.

Tried 4 star through 2 1/2 starting $75 then $80, Downtown zone then Convention Center/Old Montreal zone. Then went to 2* at $55 which I got on first bid. I've seen this hotel in passing and it's a fine location near Sherbrooke Street although a few blocks from the subway.

Bid at 3 pm for tonight, first bid accepted, accessed PRICELINE via this site. Very nice hotel, shuttle ride about 1/2 hour.

Got this on first bid, from betterbidding PRICELINE link. Very pleased with this suite-style hotel, central downtown location.

I based my bid amount on someone's earlier post and the first try bid was accepted. Total with taxes about $100. The hotel advertises an airport shuttle.
