The bid was accepted immediately. I likely could have gotten it a bit less. I'm still saving, even after Priceline's ridiculously high (read: additional profit) taxes and fees, over $50 from the best 4* I could find on the web on my own. It's a good deal, but I bet I could have saved ten bucks if I had tried.

Wow! This is a great list! Does this sort of list exist for Hotwire in London? My wife and I used Priceline to get a room for the week between Christmas and NYE,but we decided to bid/buy NYE night (Dec 31) all by itself. We have posted our success to BetterBidding.com already. But now I want to know what the Hotwire hotels are like. The list posted is fantastic for Priceline! Thanks!

I began bidding for the dates Dec. 27 - Dec. 31 at $114 in Westminster. Added City & London Bridge, Mayfair Soho, Notting Hill. With each new bid I added a buck or two. I was going to add Hammersmith next, but the price of the hotels dropped considerably when I added the neighborhood. So, I chose Regents Park instead and I was able to keep the value up where I wanted it. I offered $119 and won. The Camden Lock looks great and there are a lot of good reviews on Tripadvisor. My wife and I were trying to include New Years Eve, but then decided we should probably approach it separately. We have decided to use a Marriott MMF code for that booking.
