I used this forum's HOTWIRE link to book. This hotel was NOT on the Hotwire Hotels list in the area for 2 stars. I know those are not updated, exhaustive lists, but I was still surprised to book this hotel on Hotwire. The total came to $52.58 after taxes/fees. Reviews are overwhelmingly negative on Yelp and Trip Advisor. Tenants have raised concerns about poor room and building conditions and the safety of the property. I called to ask about late check-in and the woman who answered was pleasant, but unsure about how to make concrete arrangements for my arrival after a 10:30pm SFO landing. She told me to call closer to my date to speak to the manager about getting me checked in, who apparently lives on the property. There are already a lot of red flags and I wish I could undo my booking. Lesson learned about 2-star hotel bookings! Good thing I will only be there to literally sleep and check out!

Booked a blind Super Savings rate through this site's HOTWIRE link. Hotwire claims I saved 32% on the booking :) I'm just glad it's close to a metro stop so I can get around.

Used a similar strategy as the last person who posted a win with this hotel. For some reason when posting this win, I couldn't get the "City Zone" to display "Princeton West", which is where I was bidding. I originally offered $50 to the "Princeton West" area, 3.5*. I was counter-offered a $61 rate but was confident I could do better (thanks to all the posters here!); I added area #1, "Cookstown - Wrightstown" (only has 1 and 2 stars) and upped my bid slightly to $53, which was accepted! After all taxes and fees, the total is $68.38 (USD). Pretty cool! Also - I was sure to use this forum's PRICELINE link! Thanks!

Just booked one night in the Westin downtown Calgary, a blind $88 HOTWIRE deal through your link, for Jan 5, 2012. Ended up being $105.26 after taxes and fees. I attempted to get similar rates through the PRICELINE rebidding strategy for 4* hotels (went from $65 up to $88) but was unsuccessful. Not a bad rate at all! Just booked a "super savings" hotel deal through your HOTWIRE link - when they tell you the info minus the name of the hotel. It ended up being $103.01 after taxes and fees. I'm very happy with this rate. Thank you for this great website!

Just booked a room at the Crowne for $90, $111.65 after taxes and fees (probably saved about $20-25 compared to booking on the hotel site/other travel sites). I am new here and was totally shocked to see people's previous winning bids in the $60ish range. I did use the strategy posted on these forums for rebidding within 24 hours by adding zones that only had lower star ratings. I think I started with $70, upped in 5s to $90. Maybe I was too impatient, lol! I will try to do a better job saving in the future! I am going to be spending a lot of time in hotels over the next two months on job interviews around Canada and the US so there will be many opportunities for greater savings.
