  1. Going rate online was $89 so I saved a few bucks. This property has good reviews. I used Better Bidding hw Link. Amenities: Free ParkingFree BreakfastFree InternetSuiteIndoor PoolBusiness CenterSelf Service LaundryMike
  2. Started with $60 bid and was offered $74 for 3.5*. I used Sedona zone as a free rebid and offfered $68 which was accepted. Online price ranged between $119 and $129. This property is older but has large well maintained rooms, a great running-hiking trail through the ponderosa pines, and they treat you like you are at a real hotel. Mike
  3. I tried Priceline for this area up to $62 with no luck and ran out of re-bids. This is a fairly nice Holiday Inn in the part of town I wanted. The internet price was $95. I used the HOTWIRE link above. Mike
  4. First bid was $54 and they counter offered at $73. Re-bid $59 and then another re-bid at $64 to win. I have learned when you get a counter offer most of the time you only need to bid up about half of the counter offer increase to get the room. This is a nice hotel. Used the PRICELINE link above. Mike
  5. This was my first bid and just a guess due to not many recent bids posted for Provo. Going rate on Expedia and Marriott sites was $144. Maybe I should have started lower, but I'm happy with this property. Used the PRICELINE link above. Mike
  6. First bid! $95 is the going internet rate. Used Better Bidding PRICELINE link! This is a nice 3* property, well located for our needs on this trip to Denver. Mike
  7. There are not a lot of posts for Colorado Springs. This was my first bid after trying for a 3.5* on several bids up to $60. This property is actually close to the location in the Springs that I need to be so it was a great value--$103 on Marriott site. Mike
  8. Started at $43 and was offered $59 rebid. I used a few more rebids until reaching $53. Thanks to others on this board for posting results as it always helps me with my bid numbers. This is a very nice property for the price. I have stayed here numerous times through Priceline. I used the PRICELINE link above for bidding. Mike
  9. Maybe I should have started lower. But I read the post about the successful bid for this hotel at $45 and decided to try $44 first bid and got it. Last time I stayed at this Marriott a few years back it was a very nice property. I'm happy! Mike
  10. This is a very nice hotel about half way between Denver and Boulder. Used the PRICELINE link above Mike
  11. Started with $42 and was offered a rebid of $57. Second offer accepted at $48. Lowest price online was $75. This is a nice hotel near where I have a dinner to attend Saturday night. I used the PRICELINE link above. Mike
  12. Lowest price I could find online was $119. Not much info on Priceline bids for Farmington so I tried $51 on first bid and was acccepted. I probably could have saved a few more bucks, but now we know and I can share this info with the board for future reference. I did use the BB PRICELINE link above. Mike
  13. Internet prepaid price was $69. Started at $45. Was immediately offered a re-bid offer at $55. Usually you can bid $3-$5 higher on your next re-bid and get the room. This time I went to $48 and added $1 at a time on re-bids until my $52 offer was accepted. This is a hot time of year to be in Phoenix, but this hotel has great pools and the rooms are generally in very good shape for an older property. Our family always enjoys this hotel. I did use the Better Bidding PRICELINE link. Thanks to all who post their winning bids! Mike
  14. I did lower my price, obviously, $55 to $44. My point was that there had not been many recent posts on prices in Colorado Springs. So, I took a guess at where to start based on older posts and my experience in the past. Anytime you get a room on your first bid, it means you probably bid too high. But who knows? $44 may have been the bottom dollar for this room. It is certainly is a good deal as the lowest internet rate is $109. Mike
  15. Not a lot of fresh posts for the Springs. I tried up to $55 with rebids for a 4* (Cheyenne Mountain Resort) with no luck. First bid for 3.5* was $44 for Colorado Springs South and was accepted at Doubletree. Maybe I could have started in the high $30's but without much new info I took a stab at $44. I haven't stayed there in a while. Used to be a nice hotel 4-5 years ago. Used PRICELINE link above. Mike
  16. No luck for Loveland as a big convention is at the Budwieser Center that weekend. Bid $45 for Fort Collins and offered a room for additional $13. Used free re-bid and got it for $49. Used PRICELINE link above. That would be Fort Collins Marriott Mike
  17. Started at $55 and used two re-bids to seal the deal at $63. This is a very nice hotel near Flatirons Mall. Used the PRICELINE link above. Mike
  18. This is a very nice property between Boulder and Denver near the upscale Flatirons Mall shopping complex. I started at $51 and worked my way up to $65 with small rebids. I did use the betterbidding.com PRICELINE link above. Mike
  19. My first bid was $68 with Priceline offer to raise that by $17. I used the one area that was available for a rebid and went to $75. I might could have gotten it a couple of bukcks cheaper, but I'm happy. The Westin looks like a great hotel to spend a night before an early morning flight. I used the above PRICELINE link. Mike
  20. Seems to be the going rate for Priceline inventory. I tried $52 first and was rejected. I got an email from The Pointe a week or two ago and they are offering $79 on a special promotion. I think it has to be three nights minimum. We stayed there in late March/early April at the same rate. Mike
  21. I got this on my first bid so I may have paid a few dollars too much. I was judging my price off the Crowne Plaza price that has been a common win on Priceline lately. The best Marriott website price was $109. I had a reservation at the Crowne Plaza for $95 for a meeting I'll be attending. I guess I'll have a newer nicer hotel for less than half the price, but I'll have to drive a few miles each day. I did use the PRICELINE link above. Mike
  22. This was kind of a mistake as I tried to get the first two nights I needed to complement my $55/night 3/29 to 4/2 stay at the Pointe Tapitio (see my priceline win). I decided to bid up to $149 to try to get the Pointe for Saturday night only. I got up to $149 and was accepted--only at the JW Marriot Desert Ridge. From the posts I had read I didn't expect to get anything other than the Pointe Tapitio or Squaw Peak. Since I really needed both Friday and Saturday, especially since I was at a different hotel, I used the 'extend your stay' option to get Friday night as well. This is a beautiful hotel. I've played golf there and seen the property from the outside as well as the lobby. I'm sure it will be a wonderful stay. The Marriot website price was $369/night. So we'll start with two nights at the JW Marriot and finish our stay in Phoenix with four nights at the Pointe Tapitio Cliffs. I did use the PRICELINE link above. Mike
  23. Worked on getting 3/27 through 4/2. Priceline must be sold out of rooms for the first two nights as I had seen where others got the $55 for those nights already. The early bird gets the worm! I did get the last four nights and will work on the first two again as the time draws closer. This is a nice family friendly hotel and is a great place to spend spring break. The web price is $223 for the best rate prepaid on the Hilton site. Last year they ran a special through the Pointe Hilton site for $99/night and Priceline was running about the same. This year they haven't done that so far but PRICELINE rates have come down. I've bid up to $108 for the first two nights with no luck so far. I did use the PRICELINE link above. Mike
  24. Used Better Bidding PRICELINE Link. Started at $38. Got an offer to raise my bid $11 and get a room. My experience is to raise the bid about half that much to get a room. I raised by $3 twice and got the room for $44 plus tax and fees. This hotel is a nice place. I stayed there earlier this month. It has been well taken care of and the room I had was spacious and very clean and comfortable. Also had a friendly staff. Mike
  25. Started at $58 and bid up $3/bid using free re-bids. Westin website rate was $181.50. This is a very nice hotel and $76 is a good price for week nights. I used the Better Bidding PRICELINE link. Mike
