I began bidding for a 3.5 star hotel in the Bloomington Mall of America area thinking I might get the Doubletree. I started my bid at $35.00 with no luck. I added 2.5 stars to the search and increased my bid to $40. I was hoping maybe to get the La Quinta. I simply did not want the Park Plaza as I had stayed there in the past and did not care for the rooms. I added the MSP Airport area and raised my bid to $44.00 and secured the Springhill Suites by Marriott in Bloomington. I notice this is not yet on your forum and am happy with the win. I am going shopping with my teacher girl friends before school starts and this will be perfect. I called to confirm the stay and ask to possibly have 2 beds. The nice gals said they already secured us a King Suite room and could not change it. However, this room has a King bed and a Sofa Sleeper so that is just fine for us ladies! I'm anxious to see how our stay goes as the reviews look great online. Final price on Priceline was 58.06 with tax.
