  1. Hi! Thanks so much for the help! I was browsing through your suggestions and I stumbled upon the courtyard Marriott Boston south for 99$ including complementary parking! Considering its pretty close to downtown, the price is reasonable and the parking is free, I thought this was a great deal so I booked it right away! I really appreciate your suggestions because without them, I wouldn't have found that deal!
  2. Hi! I would like to request some help for a short stay in Boston. (March 30-April 1). Minimum 3* hotel, maximum 125$. I need free parking (hotel, or street parking nearby). I don't mind staying outside of the downtown area, and in fact I would prefer staying near a subway station. My goals: -the cheaper the better -3 stars -parking -be able to wake up, take the subway (10-30 minutes ride) and go shopping downtown (Newbury street). Any tips on which area to stay and how to bid? I'm coming from Quebec Canada if that helps.
  3. Hi! really sorry to bump such an old thread. But the trip was ultimately cancelled. Although, I do appreciate all the help! Thanks!
  4. Hi! After conferring with my friend, we have decided that we would want to stay at the W after all, provided we can park on the streets.... BTW, how safe is parking on the streets...? I have a new car. We plan on getting there on the 17th of November at around 6-7pm, and leaving the car there until the 19th of November in the afternoon. We decided we can splurge this time. Although our maximum is still 117$. How should we proceed? Do you think we can get it for 105$ like this Priceline win. Thanks!
  5. Thanks for the quick reply! 117$+taxes+parking would be a little bit over my budget. My limit is really 85$ before taxes. Obviously even lower would be better. My criteria are really just: 1. close to the city (nyc), or easy to access (ex: bus/train) 2. cheap, with preferably free parking 3. minimum 3 stars How should I proceed, or should i lower my sights? Like I mentioned in my last post, something similar to this would be perfect : 3* Newark - Meadowlands (Secaucus - North Bergen) Crowne Plaza Meadowlands $65 ... 11/19/11-11/20/11
  6. Hi The dates are November 17-19 (2 nights) I need some help bidding for a hotel with free parking, and easily accessible to NYC by bus or train. Last time I was able to book the priceline win: 3* Newark - Meadowlands (Secaucus - North Bergen) Crowne Plaza Meadowlands $65 ... 11/19/11-11/20/11 I was very satisfied. Can someone tell me how I can get that again? Or otherwise, another hotel with free parking and close to public transport to get to NYC would be great! Thanks! I'm using the PRICELINE link
  7. it didnt' work out even until 160$, so i decided to go with another hotel at a "patient" rate with good reviews at 165$+taxes which came out to be cheaper than the 160$+fees+taxes bid on priceline thanks again!
  8. the lower the better... if it can be had at 100 then great, but i'm willing to go up to 140 if necessary
  9. ok i got rejected at 140$ for 3.5*.... so i'm willing to lower to 3* and try again...
  10. thanks! the crescent looks really good on their website, but if it's a super tiny room that is discounted because nobody wants it, then i think i will pass on that too.. i'm not sure what to do now... i think i can increase the hotel cost and continue with priceline. (but is there a chance i get the crescent with PRICELINE as well?)
  11. help identifying 3.5* hotel bevery hills Beverly Hills - West Hollywood area hotel Amenities: Complimentary Breakfast, Free Internet
  12. hi, i followed all of the steps above but got rejected! what should i do now? thanks!!
  13. My goal is the least expensive 3* or better. I don't really have a maximum bid, but the least expensive would be best. Within the shaded boundary would be ok, but I would really prefer if it was closer to the beverly Hilton!
  14. Hi, I need a room in Beverly hills 90210 from June 13 to June 15. I'm having surgery and I need to be close to the hospital. I want to stay in a hotel that is 3 stars or more. Please help me with a bidding strategy that will allow me to minimize the cost! Thanks!
  15. hi.. i did not succeed. so i ultimately gave up. Although I do appreciate all the help! Thank you so much!
  16. hi, i tried until the last step Secaucus and Jersey City and North Bergen... Bid $58 --> rejected what should i do now?
  17. im just assuming you meant meadowlands instead of north bergen... i did the following : Select 2.5* Secaucus... Bid $40, rejected Select 2.5* Meadowlands... Bid $40, rejected Select 2.5* Jersey City... Bid $40, rejected Select 2.5* Secaucus and Jersey City... Bid $45, rejected Select 2.5* Secaucus and Meadowlands... Bid $45, rejected Select 2.5* Secaucus and Jersey City and Meadowlands... Bid $50 rejected what should i do next after 24h?
  18. Yes, the Secaucus-North Bergen and Meadowlands-Rutherford zones are acceptable, and also Jersey City too. Thank you!
  19. I made a mistake in my original post: instead of 2 nights, i would like to stay three nights. check in: april 6, check out 9 april.
  20. i wouldn't mind driving 10-15 minutes to catch a bus/train as long as i can park my car (preferably for free)
  21. Hi all! I'm back again. I need your expertise again, very similar to my case last time: I would like to find a hotel close to NYC for 2 nights (April 6 to 8, 2012). I will be driving to the hotel (from Quebec), then taking public transportation to go to NYC. Last time I got the following and I was very satisfied: 3* Newark - Meadowlands (Secaucus - North Bergen) Crowne Plaza Meadowlands $65 ... 11/19/11-11/20/11 This time, I want to try and lower my cost even more. (Budget: preferably under 60$, max 65) My situation: - I am a bit hard up so that's why I'm considering staying in a satellite city next to NYC. - I would like to take the public transportation from the hotel to get to NYC. My criteria for hotel: - I would like to stay in a 2.5*+ hotel (preferably close to a bus or train station) - I am quite impecunious(lol, that's why I'm here) so I would like to pay as little as possible. My questions: - Which New Jersey neighborhood(s) should I choose? - What should be my bidding strategy/How should I proceed? Thank you! You're expertise is greatly appreciated, and I will definitely use the link you provide from here!
