  1. Yes, that's what I mean. The hotel I won blindingly when bidding didn't show up in what seemed like the corresponding area of the retail listings when I was looking at prices for comparison. All it means is the neighbourhoods aren't lined up the same in retail vs bidding, but I was a little surprised. This could have cost me if, for example, something similar happened with Skokie, which I had included in some of my bids because it has no 4* hotels in the retail listing.
  2. I had a hard time getting a deal for this weekend. I started looking for a 4* bidding at 80$. I worked my way up by 5s to 130 and got rejected the entire way up. It must be a busy weekend in that neighbourhood with the lights festival on. So I switched gears and went for a 3.5. I got rejected at 100, but got it at 110. Only saved 19 bucks over their listed price of 129. Meh. Of note, if you do a regular search in the "Loop - Grant Park" area, this property doesn't show up. But when you do the bidding thing with area 7 "Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area" it's included.
  3. I got denied at 115 for the 18th and 19th today. It must be a busy weekend.
  4. I'll probably make a thread when I get a deal, but for now I was just posting to give Bailey the information if he's trying to bid now. I don't think there's much else that can be done to help me right now.
  5. I'm trying to book for the same weekend, so I figure I can just chime in here. My criteria: - North Michigan Ave - River North Area or Millennium Park, Loop & Grant Park Area. - **** - Nights of the 18th and 19th. My last bid was $95 and it got rejected. I'm going to try more money or maybe step down to 3.5 tomorrow. Hope that helps.
