Started bidding at $75 for 4* downtown-pike place hotel. Was hoping to get Westin, Sheraton or Edgewater that others had been successful with (these three hotels have great pet policies - see below). Ended up rebidding about seven times using additional zones and ended up with Renaissance Seattle for $88. This is a decent price for this hotel, but not the deep discounts you hope to secure using priceline as this hotel is listed on hotels.com for $129 including a free room upgrade. The priceline email actually stipulates a savings of only 19% (reg price = $109) which seems a bit low as I was not able to find the hotel for $109 online. FYI - here are the pet policies of the four hotels mentioned above (the main 4* hotels awarded by priceline in this zone): Westin - 1 dog up to 80lbs - no charge Sheraton - 1 dog up to 80lbs - no charge Edgewater - 1 dog up to 80lbs - no charge Renassance - 1 dog up to 80lbs - $100 non-refundable charge! (clearly wanting to be designated "pet friendly", but not actually have pets stay there) Looks like we will be leaving our dog at home.
