  1. After checking prices on HOTWIRE and PRICELINE I began the bidding for 5 star Las Vegas Strip North hotels at $70. After two re-bids I was successful at $80. This is fair price for a Thursday in November however I also saw some great deals for 4 star hotels on this date as well, consider this for a nice stay at half the price I paid. I used the link from this website to reach both HOTWIRE and PRICELINE while looking for prices and making the bids, be sure to do this to support this site. Happy bidding!
  2. I used the multiple re-bid method to book this hotel. I was trying for a 4 star north las vegas strip, as I normally do. When checking the priceline areas to indentify re-bids Summerlin has no 4 or 5 star properties listed. This should have been an easy free re-bid for my desired 4 star north strip hotel. Instead priceline booked me in the J.W. Marriott which is 15 mins from the strip. When I called priceline customer service to get an explanation on this I was told that the J.W. is considered a "resort" and that by selecting 4 stars and up the resort properties are included. Of course they couldn't offer me a refund or credit but the customer service reps were very polite. This is tricky of priceline as its not clearly indicated that 4 star equals "resort" anywhere in the bidding process. In short, if you're using multiple bids to get a 4 star (or 5 star) hotel in vegas don't use the Summerlin area! I may end up staying at this property but I won't be happy about it. I used the PRICELINE link on this website to make my booking. Please do this to help support the site. To the site administrator - is there another way to get this info out? I am an experienced priceline bidder in the Las Vegas area and I've never seen this before. How can I share this info with others in a place where it will be more visible? Perhaps this info is already listed on the site somewhere that I didn't see?
  3. Started bidding at $110 for 5 star north strip. I used the multiple re-bid method to bid in $10 increments up to $130. Be sure to use the Priceline and HOTWIRE links on this site when bidding to help support the site.
  4. After a few tries at 4 star near the airport I moved my bidding down to 3 star. I was just looking for a simple place to sleep for the night and wanted to stay under $50 per night. After checking out 3.5 star options in the area it seemed like 3 star was my best option. There are 7 3 star rebids in the ATL area, I began my bidding at $35 and ended up getting the Hyatt at $42. I used the PRICELINE links here at betterbidding.com to book this room. Happy bidding!
  5. I actually booked this room accidentally. I was bidding on 5 star north and south strip areas starting at $85 per night. With 11 rebids available I figured I could start the bidding quite low. I must have accidentally selected "las vegas strip vicinity north" when I went to rebid. However, this is a decent price on a property I've been wanting to try. Hopefully I have the same experience as many of the positive reviews I've read. Be sure to use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links (as I did) here on betterbidding when starting your search to help the site!
  6. This was an OK price, I was initially shooting for 5 star north or south strip but the prices have started to increase with the season. However, I've stayed at TI several times and never had a problem with the property. During my last stay I checked in late (around 9 pm) and was upgraded to a beautiful suite for free with a view of the strip to the south. If you have flexible plans and a short stay, try the late check in trick it just might pay off. Also, during my last stay I was informed at check in that when you bid for a room at TI using priceline the resort fee is optional. I was a bit disturbed since this was not explained to me on previous stays but now that I know I'll be sure to save the $25/night in the future. I know this is not a policy at all hotels in vegas (Wynn and Ventian resort fees are mandatory unless you charm the gal at the front desk) but now I'm curious how many other "optional" resort fees I've paid without knowing. Be sure to use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links (as I did) here on betterbidding when starting your search to help support the site! Happy Bidding
  7. Normal prices for this hotel are about $130 per night. I'm not crazy about the property but at least I got a great price. There is only 1 rebid in the area so I used hotwire rates as a starting point and brought my initial offer about $12 below that. The Priceline Maps tool here at betterbidding is really useful for getting a quick idea of what's been successful in the area of your search. Be sure to use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links (as I did) here on betterbidding when starting your search to help support the site! Happy Bidding
  8. I just needed a place to crash near the airport for a couple nights. I tried $40 and $45 before winning the bid at $49. Most of the retail rates in the area are $85-100/night so I think this is a decent deal. However, I've read some mixed reviews about the hotel. I'll be sure to follow up after my visit if its not an enjoyable stay. When bidding be sure to use the PRICELINE link, as I did, on this website to help support Betterbidding!
  9. Excellent price for a Saturday night! Started my bidding at $85 for 5* North and South strip, got lucky with the Wynn.
