  1. Thank you for your help. I used the strategy that you provided and got the Westin Harbour Castle: Your Offer Price: $62.00 (US dollars) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $124.00 (US dollars) Taxes & Service Fees: $19.42 (US dollars) Total Charges: $143.42 (US dollars)
  2. Let me clarify... 75/night would be my maximum bid... Thanks for your help
  3. Can someone please provide a bidding strategy for a 4* hotel downtown toronto. 2 nights: Checkin April 16th Checkout April 18th Thank you.
  4. I already have a backup booked (sheraton trader)... I am not interested in the 190 rate for the renaissance. I am wondering what that 4* hotel is.... Does anyone have any ideas?
  5. Hello, I checked the hotel lists and this one does not seem to be listed. I am wondering if anyone has any vague guesses about which hotel this might be. 4-star hotel in Las Olas - Downtown Fort Lauderdale Amenities = Boutique Hotel, Near Beach, Restaurants, Pools, Fitness Center, High Speed Internet, Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Business Center Thanks in advance for your help.
  6. Hello, I got the Courtyard (by marriott) for 58$. I bidded 45, and then 55 with no luck at the 3* level. I then had a friend try again later on their account. I bidded 56 and got the 17$ counter offer. I added the rebid zone and bidded 58 and was successful. Thanks for your help. (i used the savingsbarn thing)
  7. Hello, I need a hotel room in Toronto Downtown tonight.... I dont care if it is 3* or 4*. Would like to get a room for under 60. Can somoene please help with a strategy. Thanks.
  8. Both areas are fine -- they both look fairly close to the cruise port.
  9. Hello, I have had no luck with this strategy (I think the bids are too low -- but it was worth a shot!) I have decided that I would be just as happy with a 3* on the beach or a 4* downtown. Any suggestions for proceeding?
  10. sheraton center toronto hotel Your Offer Price: $62.00 (US dollars) Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $124.00 (US dollars) Taxes & Service Fees: $19.42 (US dollars) Total Charges: $143.42 (US dollars)
  11. I followed your strategy and got 62$. Thank you so much for your help! This board is so helpful!
  12. I don't want to bid any higher than 100/night at this point.
  13. Are you running windows XP? The default firewall gets enabled when you install service pack 2, which can get installed automatically if you have automatic updates enabled. Is your computer connected to a router? Routers often have firewalls as well.
  14. I will be staying in toronto for 2 nights (sept 24 - 26). I would like a 4* hotel in the Downtown zone. Can someone help with a strategy? What should I start bidding at? Should I split the bids up? I'm not willing to accept any other zones, or a lower * rating. Thank you in advance :)
  15. Thank you so much for your help!! My main objective is to be either in a very upscale hotel, or be in a nice hotel on the beach (or both!!) So, my first choice would be a 4* hotel in one of the following zones, but would be willing to accept a 3*: - fort lauderdale beach zone - hollywood beach zone Additionally, I would also be happy with a 4* hotel in the Downtown zone. Price is not too much of a concern (already spending 5k on a cruise, so another couple hundred seems like peanuts) -- BUT, I would like to start bidding low to save as much money as possible, of course :)
  16. The links worked -- I didn't realize they were links :) I noticed the price of the 4* beach area hotel on hotwire dropped down to 175 (from 230 or something). I am assuming this is the Hyatt. If the prices dropped on hotwire, does that usually mean that priceline has cheaper inventory as well? Does anyone know how much a 4* hotel generally goes for in Fort Lauderdale beach area around my dates? (feb 5 - feb 6). What would be a good 'low-ball' bid to start at... I can keep bidding higher as the weeks/months go on.
  17. I would recommend downtown torono. I go to toronto about twice/month. If you stay in the downtown area, you will be close to the subway routes, which is the easiest way to get around.
  18. Thanks thereuare, I currently have a backup booked (holiday inn airport) but I would be more comfortable if I had a beach hotel booked as a backup. Where can I book the yankee trander/cliper for 145/155? I have looked these hotels up, and they are over 200$. I would be very happy to get a 3 or 4* for under 100$.
  19. Well, I really have no idea what a reasonable price is... or whether rates will go up or down... do you think I am best to wait and see what happens?
  20. Fort Lauderdale Beach Area 3* Selected amenities include: Near Beach, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Fitness Center, Business Center $127 Feb 5, 2006 - Feb 6, 2006 Thank you.
  21. I have already tried bidding for 3* and 4*. (up to 80$ i believe) I dont have too much of a preference really... I would like either beach zone or downtown zone. If it is too early to bid now -- when should I start bidding (I already have backup hotels booked). Thanks for your help
  22. for a hotel in the fort lauderdale beach zone on feb 5 - feb 6th... i would like a 3 or 4 star... thanks
  23. Hello, I require 2 hotels in Fort Lauderdale -- details below: Check-in: January 28, 2006 Check-out: January 29, 2006 Location: Close to Port Everglades Desired Location/Class (first being most desired): 1) 4* Hotel Downtown 2) 4* Hotel by the Airport 3) 3* hotel downtown 4) 3* hotel by the airport Check-in: February 5, 2006 Check-out: February 6, 2006 Desired Locations/Class (first being most desired): 1) 4* Hotel on the Beach (not too far from airport) 2) 4* Hotel Downtown 3) 3* Hotel on the Beach 4) 4* Hotel by the airport 5) 3* hotel Downtown I currently have Holiday Inn Airport hotels reserved for these days (133$/night, with breakfast), so I would not be willing to pay more than this amount for a 3* hotel. For a 4* hotel, I would maybe be willing to bid higher than that amount if necessary. Thank you to anyone who is willing to help me determine a strategy.
