IT's going for $121 a night.

Does anyone know which hotels give free show tickets if you stay there? We stayed at the Palazzo last summer and they gave us 2 free tickets to see Phantom (Im assume the same would be for the Venetian). Has anyone else experienced the same with others?

How much is Cosmopolitan? I heard $40 someplace -- is this true? If so, I won't be staying there for that very reason lol.

Best Western Hollywood Plaza Inn 3* Tripadvisor: 3.5* Amenities Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Laundry Facilities (self-service) High-Speed Internet Access Should've been 2* to 2.5* imo (although I have pretty high standards). It was decent for an over night stay, and I liked that it had a mini fridge and microwave, clean, friendly staff, walking distance to hollywood blvd and the subway. But the "free" internet didn't work well and the rooms were hot and muggy because the air conditioning didn't work well. Decor was meh. Pretty much what you expect from a best western.

$80 a night for the Westin Pasadena, since everything else in or around downtown LA was booked during this time. This hotel was 2 blocks from the subway and 3 blocks from the amtrak drop off so great for those without a car like myself. Very nice hotel and friendly staff. Walking distance to old town pasadena too.

I would recommend Hollywood, Pasadena or Downtown. Maybe Beverly Hills. Depends on whether you want shopping, nightlife or family type of entertainment? There are conventions this week though so it's really hard to find hotels (especially around downtown).

Lucky you I got this hotel through priceline for like $100 earlier this year, and it was great. I'm going up early next week and everything is booked downtown sadly :)
