  1. Thats what I meant..cant belive I posted Mariott. I hate Paris so much I couldn't even use her as a reference to remember. Only trouble would be the 28$ night plus tax for parking although in a good area and hotel
  2. if the $93 per night for the said dates is still available then run a search through hotwire with flight, car, package, etc...If you see the Fishermans Warf location with the same star rating and ammenites...what does that look like to you ?
  3. I did some more recon work and it seems like its the Mariott. At least that's how Hotwire catagorizes it according to exact ammenities and it's 3* rating. Can't see how the Mariott is rated with 3 stars. Thanks
  4. On this trip I decided to stay at the Buena Vista Motor Inn due to parking. Per night cost was $80. Hope this helps
  5. I received this quote from hotwire for a stay; 9/14/06 to 9/19/06 ( 5 nights ) $93 per night ammenities are; Fitness Center Business Center Restaurant If possible, a hotel name would help Thanks
  6. Hmmmm...I'm not sure what to do. I always stayed in a more mellow part of town and definately need a change of pace. Only thing so far is I may be willing to take this even though it could be the Holiday Inn (not sure what else there is on this strip), at least through Hotwire. Tried referencing with packages, but cant find anything close to this even with different dates. I've already rented a car through Hotwire at a good rate- had to jump at it cause they were expensive a few weeks ago when I was out there. Now I have to consider at least $28 per night x 5, which is still good. Are there decent breakfast joints in the immediate area there on Van Ness ? ( not Mels...sick of it...small portions). So what do think, should I grab it ? Is it worth it or wait ? May be a charge for internet right ? Help : ((
  7. Searched through the forum and saw an exact ammenities location which was the Holiday Inn SAN FRANCISCO-GOLDEN GATEWAY 1500 VAN NESS AVE. SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94109 Any Feedback ?
  8. Searching like mad and finally came up with this 3* quote for 10/25 through 10/30. If anyone can give me a hand I appreciate it. Hope parking is included and if not, the usual reseasonable fee will have to do. Ammenities are as follows; 1-Restaurant(s) At least one restaurant is located on the premises. Restaurant hours may vary. 2-Pool(s) Property features at least one pool area. (Note: This amenity offering may be seasonal. Please check hours/availability directly with the property.) 3- Fitness Center Exercise equipment is available for guest use. An additional fee may apply. 4-High-Speed Internet Access High-speed Internet access is available in guest rooms (An extra charge usually applies). 5- Business Center Guests have access to business equipment/services. Thanks for all the help in advance !!
  9. I'm trying to avoid using public transportation this time around even though its very good in SF. I puched up that location, but prefer something in Union Square to be near all the hassle and clubbing SOM. I've read threads about the Drake and the good price offered, but when I searchd a rate online and called, they wanted $179-250. NO WAY. So the search continues. I appreciate any feedback regarding the location and/or names of promising, clean places in USE/USW. ( OK $75 tops) Thanks again.
  10. Ended up not booking a hotel but stayed with some friends for a few days (last time). However, auto rates were still higher than usual in SFO. Ended up taking an Avis promo for the same price as I had originally booked with Thrifty, but this had an upgrade and awarded me 1000 AA miles which is always handy. Thanks for all the assistance.
  11. I'm looking at around $65 per night maximum at this time. Dates are for Oct 19-23 If something decent is available around Union Square I definately will not have a vehicle, therefore no parking is needed. Thank You
  12. I just received this quote at $54 per night This Hotel features the following amenities: Fitness Center Exercise equipment is available for guest use. An additional fee may apply. High-Speed Internet Access High-speed Internet access is available in guest rooms (An extra charge usually applies). Business Center Guests have access to business equipment Does this offer free parking ? I usually stay in the Marina District but want somewhere in the Union Square area this time. Can someone recommend a decent place for a few days, if possible ? Thanks
  13. I see that is located on Van Ness, I'm interested in something closer to the Marina District down Lombard closer to Mels Drive In. I know that sopt has many hotels, but probably not for $49 this time of year. Really interested in having internet access this time and parking, without an extra fee, is a must. What about the car rental question I had above ? A few days agoi I saw a special and received a quote of about $150 for 7 days. The only thing is that I must be sure the pickup is actually in SFO. "Payless and Fox" are not, I just hope hotwire does not deal with them. As of this moment, that special is gone and the cost is $21.95 per day even for economy and compact class. Thats crazy.
  14. Ok I just did a search and got $49per night 3 star hotel in the Van Ness/Lombard Corridor - Pacific Heights . Its ammenities are; Complimentary Breakfast Fitness Center Business Center Laundry Facilities (self-service) Would business center mean internet (in room) access ? Also, the car rentals went up dramatically in the past few days. Another wuestion regarding that, Does hotwire always deal with the 3 top (Avis Budget,Hertz) rental companies ? I dont want to have to go out of San Francisco airport to pick one up. Thanks again in advance
  15. Hi...First time on here and hope I've included alll the necessary information. I've been out there many of times and need a place, preferably by the Lombard area. I'm interested in dates; 7/20/05-----7/27/05. I would like internet access, free parking and whatever else. Must be clean as well. No run down overpeiced joints. Thanks By the way....a compact car from SFO for under or about $150 would be nice too. thanks again
