I would usually put in north strip and max out at about 140-150 and get the palazzo every time. Now I fear if I do that i'll end up at Trump. Hot.wire has (i'm guessing venetian or palazzo) for 200/night (October 31-November 2nd). PRICELINE EXPRESS has it I think for 174.

Hi! Is there a way to bid for a hotel in Las Vegas Strip North without hitting Trump International Hotel? Usually Trump, on hotwire, is the less expensive of the 5* options up there, and you can seperate it out because it never lists a casino as an amenity. But I fear if I bid for North Strip, I'll end up staying there. Also, I thought Trump was Las Vegas Strip Vicinity North. Did they get rid of that category so that now Trump is grouped with Palazzo and Bellagio etc.? Thanks!!!

i just don't know what's going on that weekend. It's usually less than that for a weekend. Would garth brooks and carlos santana concerts cause that many people to come into vegas?

Hello all. I got the palazzo for 2 nights, but for 3 rooms, for 195 a night. About a week ago I tried 5 stars in the north and south strip at 125 and I believe 130 but no luck. Today I put 150 in the north, no luck. 165 in the north, and no luck. I then added I believe the airport at 5 stars as a rebid "safe zone" AFTER checking priceline to see which hotels are listed as 5 stars, and I placed it at 180 and nothing. I then added the fremont area, that has no 5 stars as of today, and bid 195 and got the palazzo for 195. I am happy with the bid, as everywhere else has the palazzo for 300 on friday and 450 on saturday! Also I was trying to get 3 rooms which is turned out to be difficult, and we didn't want to change hotels. Also I've stayed at the palazzo before and I love the joint. Very nice, never crowded, and the rooms are gigantic. Thanks for the help, website people!

I'm sorry for my ignorance, but can someone explain the rebid idea? Basically if you want a 5* hotel in Vegas, and your bid in the north and south are rejected at say, 120, you increase your bid to 130 and add a zone that does not have a 5* hotel, so that you don't have to wait 24 hours to up the price to 130? If I got that correctly, is there a list of "safe" zones in Vegas? Thanks!

My girlfriend clued me into this site, thought i'd say thanks by showing my find. Couldn't get 3* rooms on priceline, went all the way up to about 180 bucks for the areas closest to the concource center. went to hotwire now, saw 3* for 138, checked ammenities, matched up with hotel whitcomb here, booked it, and yup, was hotel whitcomb. thanks to everyone on this site for putting together something pretty damn useful. Appreciate all the assistance :)
