  1. thereuare, I need a hotel in Seattle near the amtrak station at 303 S. Jackson St. (by the seahawks stadium). We have a group of 5 couples and need something clean, safe, and cheap. I don't need anything 4*. It will be pre-cruise in August. Thanks
  2. Bid again: Vancouver 4* - $68: rejected Vancouver/Surrey 4* - $73: rejected Vancouver/Surrey/Langley 4* - $77: rejected Vancouver/Surrey/Langley/Delta 4* - $84: rejected Don't want to go much higher than $85. I'll try again in 72 hrs. This can take some patience . . . :)
  3. Thank you, stewps. Figured it was with the quality of hotels there, but I also know that in Washington, DC it changes from block to block. Am really looking forward to seeing Vancouver for the first time. :)
  4. Thanks, thereuare. Tried the rebids as you suggested; Vancouver & Langley at $75, added Delta at $81, lastly, added Surrey at $85. All rejected. Try again in 72 hrs.
  5. Thanks for pointing that out! I see that Vancouver Airport has 4*'s. I went back and rechecked my rebid zones, Delta, Langley, and Surrey is what I came up with. Glad my bids were NOT accepted. Whew! I have to be more careful. Can't rebid for 72. I have tried closing my browser and rebidding and PL won't allow me to. I have even completely turned off my computer and restarted (probably unnecessary) and I can't rebid. I'm missing something on the finer points of that technique. :) Thanks for the reminder on the rebid zones.
  6. Back again looking for hotel for return from cruise. Would like 4* downtown so we could do some sight-seeing. Have Sheraton Wall Centre for outbound segment of our cruise and am VERY happy with it. Tried today, bid low to start at $45. By adding zones I bid up to $69. All were refused. I bid Vancouver 4* first, then added Vancouver airport, then Delta, then Surrey. Don't want to bid any higher than $80-85. Can get Associate rate for Marriott thru nephew for the Residence Inn Downtown for $113. Is Hornby a good/safe area downtown? Thanks for the help!
  7. Yes, it was my first bid today. Did you edit my topic line? I couldn'i figure out how to edit it and add a date line. So if you did it thereuare, thanks!! Murphy
  8. Yea!! Got Sheraton Wall Centre on the first try today! My husband and I have been bidding every other day or so for a week and was refused every time. Never bid over $100. Bid Vancouver 4* $78 for 9/10. Was accepted on first bid. Thanks for your help thereuare! Will start a new post for 9/18. Murphy
  9. I've noticed. Others are getting the 4*'s for $65-$76 and I've bid up to $85 for downtown or airport on 9/10 and haven't gotten it yet. I was hoping to keep it around $100, with taxes. Hotwire isn't offering any real options either for that price and category. Does anyone know why it would so high these dates? Murphy
  10. Thanks, thereuare! I will try for the 10th first for 1 room Murphy3
  11. Hi, Brand new here and think I understand the process for priceline, but not quite sure. I need a hotel in Vancouver for 1 night 9/10 for 4 adults and then again on 9/18. Would like Hyatt, Marriott, but understand that I am bidding on star rating and not specific hotel. We are going on a cruise and need before and after hotel stays and would like to be downtown. The questions I have are: Are the bids I have seen posted here usually for 2 adults? Is Vancouver or Downtown the area I need to bid? Since my husband and I have different e-mail accounts can I bid using my name and then his or does Priceline identify the individual server? Thanks for any help on the subject, Murphy
