Your welcome, while booking the second leg of our trip I noticed this same deal was now around $430 per night, so I feel somewhat better, but still "Disneyed".

Part 2 of the trip. Started bidding at $55.00 and rebid in $5.00 increments. Scratching my head on if this is a nice hotel and we wanted to be closer to beach, but the rack rate was around $110.00. As always used the PRICELINE link.

Correct. Rack rate on the Disney website was about $450 a night. Definitely have stayed in the area before for considerably less, but convenience was important on this trip.

Due to various needs for rapid access/convenience to the park since this is the first leg of our trip, we "splurged". Used the express deal option from the PRICELINE link provided on this forum.

First try out of the box which included $5.00 bonus cash. Rack was $89.00 so I will take the rest and spend it (anyways) at the ball game. As always used the PRICELINE link.

Looking for various options either on the island, mid-town, or downtown. Went in that order for $90 each and kept rebid downtown last. Rack rate was around $150 As always, used the PRICELINE link.

Last minute trip to Houston and wanted to stay somewhere nicer with the family. Started bidding at $75 and rebid up to the final amount increments of $10-$15 and was about to give up since other 4-stars in the area have been going for much less. Rack rate is about $300, so I think we found a great deal for a quick getaway. As always, used the PRICELINE link. S

Update - rebid again 3.5*and then dropped to a 3* (first bid at $70): Hyatt Place Dallas/North Arlington/Grand Prairie 3* 8/10/11 - 8/12/11 $80.00 Hyatt website had same room for $83.00 - first time in awhile that I missed. As always used the PRICELINE link.

Trying for 3.5 Star (Sheraton). I have been bidding/rebidding etc for a few days starting at $55 and now upto $95 with no luck. Will keep trying an provide an appropiate update. As always used your PRICELINE link... :)

Started bidding at $60.00 and offered $15.00 increase. Ended up just going with it since I was late in trying. Rack rate was $129.00 Used forum PRICELINE link as always.

Edit - Date LInk did not show up -- $115.00 for 2/4/2011 through 2/9/2011 Used the links provided... Started with a 5 Star at $125.00 and Rebid to $150.00 "downgraded" to a 4 Star and started at $85.00 and Rebid to $115.00 in $10 increments. Rack rate was about $250.00, so all appears well. Only major negative I read was parking at $35/night....

Bid Riverwalk 4*Deluxe at $55.00 If not accepted add downtown East (DO NOT CHANGE STARS - there is no 4* hotel in DT east) - increase bid to $60. If not accepted add Schertz (DO NOT change Stars) - increase bid to $65 Keep re-bidding until you are uncomfortable with the price. You are likely locked out for a certain period to start bidding again. There could also be something going on that weekend in San Antonio or the date may be to far off. Never had either the Sheraton or Omni through Priceline, but they may be recent additions - the comment was from the Moderator.

Not knowing where you are trying to stay, but I picked up the Emily Morgan on the Riverwalk yesterday on priceline for $65.00. My experience that has been the going rate for several stays downtown.

Part 2 of Trip 4* Tradewinds Island Grand Rebid 4 times starting at $70 (increments of $10) last prior was $95. Thank you to all that post here. As always, used PRICELINE link.

Part 1 of Trip Rebid 6 times starting at $65 last prior was $90. The priceline average indicated that it was $94 so it appeared accurate. This will be our second stay at this property - see review from 2005 and considering we paid $100 then, I think it is a good deal. Part 2 will follow. As always, used PRICELINE link.

For two rooms, web rate of $329 for same stay. Tried multiple rebids over the last week for a 4-star upto $100.00. The trip was getting too close not to have a room. Priceline accepted first rebid with a 3* at 95.00. Used the savingsbarn link.
