Sorry, I should have added more info .... this is in the Valley Forge zone and is considered by PL to be Philadelphia's northern suberbs (it includes three areas).

There are many Hiltons in Northern Jersey and the White Plains area of New York (Rye, Tarrytown etc) but the reviews for the others are not so great older hotels in need of fixing up. This one is excetional and is well known wedding hot spot .... but that is based on the pictures and opinions. I would love to see it for myself. I might delay my trip to Boston next week by a day and try for this hotel for myself!!! Another amazing looking hotel that I must visit is the Sheraton Parsipanny looks like a castle. Yes .... had to bid the new coastal zone for this one. Really wanted the Rancho Bernardo zone but kept getting rejected. This area for sure will be exciting even though it is a 20 minute drive.

WillTravel I know for sure you'll like seeing this post!!! Bid this for a friend of a friend... their request was to find something that has two beds so I will check right now to make sure. I bid $43 first hoping to get the Laurel Point Inn but rejected. I jumped up to $60 after seeing how high the rates in Hotwire were ($170-something 3.5*) .... now, I will not now the bottom price with these new fees and taxes!!! Taxes and fees are $15.37. In Canadian, this works out to $71 per night total.

Got this for a friend ..... he needed to add a night and got this hotel instead of the Fairfield Inn.

Booked this for a friend .... had to book Mon to Wed conventionally at some 1* dive for $43 as bids for up to $60 failed for those dates.

Got this awhile ago for my family ... Thanks to PL, my parents will get to enjoy a 4* as in the past, they tended to cheap out on senior specials at Econolodges usually. I bet you they will complain that there is no free breakfast.

Got this for my family ..... bid 2.5* hoping for something with free breakfast. This hotel has two towers and they tend to stick the PL customers in the old tower. They charge about $7 for parking however, the have a free shuttle to Disneyland.

Got this for my family on their trip to Cali. The hotel is huge .... 600+ rooms and free shuttle to the airport.

I read some really bad reviews for this hotel and decided to take a loss on my first two nights and stay downtown instead. I will check in here tomorrow and take advantage of the fact that it is close to the King of Prussia Mall and has free parking.

Tonight, I am at the 3* Wyndham Franklin Plaza which is the best deal in downtown Philly. This hotel tends to only accept a week or two before your dates and they also do NOT accept your 'by request' membership to get the free internet and other goodies. Lots of free Sat night and Sunday street parking although, I will have to get up at 6:00am to move my car. The hotel charges about $19 for self-park and $28 or so for valet.

I stayed at this hotel last night and although it is a great 'trendy' hotel, the restaurant is closed for renovations which technically disqualifies it as a 4* or even 3*. I have read in the past where PL will temporarily downgrade a hotel in a situation like this. I even got a refund in the past for the 3* Holiday Inn Select in Montreal for a similar reason. Hope this one works out too!!! Parked on the street for free .... the hotel charges about $28 for valet parking. The location is also excellent right on Market Street near the Hard Rock Cafe and the convention center.

Bid this for a friend .... great looking hotel and recently renovated!!! $52.81 including taxes and fees. I did try lower bids in the past for this hotel ... $38, $42 and even $45 and this is the first time I have gotten it.

I find that PL saves at most 20-30 bucks off other posted fairs. In this case, I was able to guess which flight I would 'win' based on the counteroffers and searching on lowestfare.com (run by PL). Flying from Buf has huge savings over flying out of Toronto .... and to top it off, you also get to avoid the hefty taxes we have to pay for flights out of Canada. The best rate I found to LAX from YYZ was $200 Canadian more!!!

Yikes!!! Just got an email back from the hotel .... a cab ride to the airport is $35-40 and even the cheapest alternative (shuttle) is $25 plus gratuity and tax. I should have bid higher on the Newark zone in the first place!!! Thereuare has provided me with the cheapest route which is to bus it back to New York and than take another bus back to EWR. I could/should have also just stayed right in NYC instead too and it would have been cheaper and much more convenient!!! I hope that the Amerisuites' 'bountiful breakfest' is worth this frustration???!!!???!!!

The winning bid was for Hertz .... this was for some friends and they picked up their Ford Taurus today. The best rates on Hotwire were $29.95 midsize or $27.95 compact. We had bid numerous times using different dates for this and got a counter offer of $27 for a compact and a counter offer of $29 for midsize. I am positive we could have gotten the compact for about $24 but we had no available bids left. PL does not let you "add another pick-up location" anymore and you can only bid for a new zone.
