  1. When I login, the other amenities shown are: Internet access, Golf nearby,Kitchenette AccessibilityAccessible for visually impaired, Accessible for hearing impaired, Accessible path of travel, In-room accessibility, Accessible bathroom, Accessible parking, Roll-in shower
  2. This seems to be both a new listing, and maybe Niagara Falls has revamped it's geographical areas because the area Niagara Falls - Fallsview - Casino Area isn't listed in the options to choose from in the drop down list for reporting the area. A great price at Embassy Suites at $61 US ($83 CAN). I was planning on booking this hotel without HOTWIRE, but then saw this listing come up, and thought I'd be willing to try a new hotel that has everything that we love about Embassy (Suites, free breakfast), but was happy to see my favourite Niagara Falls hotel pop up as the winning hotel when I booked! :) $52 Canadian less than the website right now. (Cheapest room on website is $135 CAN). Amenities listed were Free Breakfast, Suite, Indoor Pool(s), Smoke-Free rooms, Fitness Centre, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Centre, Self Serve Laundry.
  3. New hotel for list. Came up in list as just Markham, not Markham-Richmond. Amenities: Smoke Free Rooms, Business Centre, Pool(s), Internet access, Fitness Centre, Restaurant(s), Self Service Laundry, Tennis Nearby Accessibility: Accessible for Hearing Impaired, In room accessibility, Accessible Bathroom, Accessible Path of Travel, Wheelchair Accessible, Accessible Parking $93 Canadian, for those Canadians browsing. US currency vs Canadian has been switching too much to compare month by month..
  4. I did get a hotel that hasn't yet been reported. Downtown Toronto East 3.5* $135CAD for July 6. Amenities listed are: Free internet, Indoor pool(s), Fitness Center, Pool(s), Restaurant(s), Business Center, Self Service Laundry, Internet Access
  5. I'm thrilled about this win. I've been checking prices out regularly for a while, and got an email that prices had dropped. Until now, the cheapest price was around $160/night, and all of sudden this one showed up at $22(yes, twenty-two dollars!) and I pounced on it! Looking at their website, the list price is $189/night. Also, according to website of hotel, the free breakfast is also a seasonal thing...valid until Aug 31 breakfast is at a nearby Appleby's restaurant. This is one to add to the list of potential hotels, as it isn't on it yet. 2* Days Inn Clifton Hill Casino Amenities: Free Breakfast Free Internet Indoor pool(s) Pool(s) Restaurant(s) High-Speed Internet Access Golf Nearby Tennis Nearby
  6. It won't be Sutton Place, as it is closing permanently on June 15, 2012.
  7. It won't be Sutton Place, as it is closing permanently on June 15, 2012.
  8. Just as a heads up for those trying to figure out properties, the Sutton Place (4* Toronto Downtown West) is closing for good on June 15, 2012.
  9. New property to report. Downtown Toronto West. 2 star. Howard Johnson Downtown Yorkville, 89 Avenue Rd. Amenities listed were Breakfast, High Speed Internet. We tried using the link from this site, but it wouldn't work on our phones, which is what we were using for our Internet. Prices for all of downtown Toronto were ridiculous for this night due to a conference in downtown Toronto. We booked that day due to need. The Delta Chelsea, which can often be got on Hotwire for around $90, was listed on Hotwire at $350, and this was the only hotel under $100 for the night. I was hoping it was the Super 8, which is where we had stayed the night before (for $57), but alas it was not. I'd actually asked the desk at the Super 8 if we could get another night, but they were full. I just thought maybe HOTWIRE had a reserved room with them anyway. It was a quiet room, and clean, but the upkeep on this hotel was terrible, with torn wallpaper in the halls, and needing some serious love and updating. I guess I can't expect too much since it was only a 2 star! Strange, since it was right next door to the exclusive Maserati car dealership. The Super 8, with the same star ranking was much nicer, albeit noisier due to road traffic.
  10. Just in case you are specifically looking for a hotel with a pool, the Sheraton's pool is currently closed for renovations for "a couple months". We stayed on either Sat Oct 29, or Sat Nov 5th, (I can't remember which weekend it was) and we were told the pool was closing on the Monday for a couple of months for renovations. Hope that helps.
  11. Also note, that the 3.5* one on closer look charges a "resort fee" collected by the hotel at check in, not by Hotwire, of an additional $10 or so. I havn't seen that before on any of the listings. And in reading the reviews where only 60% of Hotwire customers recommend it, one of the reviews actually states that it is the Metropolitan...not sure how that got missed, since they aren't supposed to reveal the name of the hotel!
  12. That matches the list for the Metropolitan Hotel. I did a search for your date as well using the HOTWIRE link on the page, and also came up with a 4* Downtown Toronto East with amenities: Smoke free, fitness, pool, restaurant, business centre, hi speed internet and spa, for $105.00. This matches the amenity list for the Westin Harbour Castle. Hope that helps.
  13. Booked the Delta Chelsea in Toronto Downtown East using the link from here for $87/night + tax for Nov 3-5. Amenities listed: smokefree, fitness, pool, restaurant, business centre, high speed internet.
  14. Booked Sheraton Centre Toronto Downtown West using link from here for $92 (plus taxes) for Sat. Nov 5th. Amenities: Smoke Free, Fitness, Pool, Restaurant, Business Centre, High Speed Internet.
  15. Try again! I tried again this morning for you, and the Downtown Toronto East 3.5* (most likely the Delta) is back on the HOTWIRE list at a price of $98.
  16. I just tried for your date, and I also don't see the one you have listed. There is a 3.5 star that is probably the Delta, as it matches their amenities, but the price is $173. It also lists a 4* in Downtown East for $108, with amenities fitness, restaurant and internet that could be one of a few different hotels in the area. I'd keep looking over the next couple days... The Delta Chelsea just had a sale through themselves that ended on a few days ago on the 6th, where you could book through til the end of November for $89/room/night. If they didn't sell all of them, I suspect they will sell a block of them to Hotwire. Hope that helps!
  17. I was simply looking for cheapest place downtown Toronto for this trip, and this will do the trick nicely! Using the HOTWIRE link from here, I booked the Super 8 for $57. With taxes it came to $70. Divided between two people, $35/night for downtown Toronto, you can't go wrong, especially when it includes a complimentary breakfast. I was up for experimenting with a new spot to stay this time, since all that mattered was being downtown. :) According to their website, all rooms have microwaves and fridges, which neither the Delta Chelsea (3.5*) nor the Sheraton Centre (4*) have had when I stayed in the last couple of months. Amenities listed were complimentary breakfast, Fitness, and High speed Internet.
  18. Amenities listed were Smoke Free, Fitness Centre, Pool, Restaurant, Business Centre, High Speed Internet Access.
  19. For your qualifications of where you want/don't want to stay, I would use HOTWIRE. By choosing Downtown West 4* on Hotwire, you won't get any of the ones you don't want, and are likely to get your desired hotel Sheraton. You can then check the amenities to further narrow down which possibilities of hotels you would get. Maybe hop on over to the Hotwire forum? When are you looking to book for?
  20. I painfully helped a relative use Hotwire for the first time (not Hotwire's fault it was painful...it was because the user had low internet skills). Sorry, I couldn't convince them to use the link here, but thought I'd post the results anyway. Delta Chelsea (Downtown East) for $90 for one night Oct 31-Nov 1. There was one cheaper...but knowing they wanted to be at the Delta due to location, I helped them book it. The cheaper one was $89 for 4* in Toronto (Downtown West). N/S, pool, fitness, restaurant, business, internet with Bed Choice. This is an excellent price for any of the Downtown West hotels!
  21. Booked using the HOTWIRE link from here! After reading the discussion boards, I realized that 3.5 star in Toronto (Downtown East) was probably the Delta Chelsea. This was my desired hotel for this trip due to location close to the hospitals and I got what I wanted. :) 3 nights for 2 adults and 1 child. Amenities listed were Smoke Free, Fitness Centre, Pool, Restaurant, Business Centre, High Speed Internet Access. $89/night for what Travelocity listed at $146/night and the Delta's website lists at $149/night, and even the "hospital rate" discount (a letter from hospital is needed as proof) is $119/night.
  22. I'm a first time HOTWIRE user, and found this board after I booked. Pleased with the result, since this hotel is advertised on its own website and on Travelocity at $269/night for the cheapest room. Booked for 2 adults, 1 child. Amenities listed were Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Centre, Pool, Restaurant, Business Centre, High Speed Internet Access. Also stated 95% of Hotwire guests liked the hotel.
