  4. I believe it might be the InterContinental Hotel, which listed the same amenitites. Good Luck!
  5. My husband and I have been bidding on Priceline for the last 2 months for our up and coming trip to New York (9/27-10/1). We set up hotel bidding email alerts via Priceline and every day we received an email stating "someone just a little while ago just booked Times Square for $120", so we of course would go in and bid and "denied". After days of rejection, we decided to split our bid and again we were rejected. After reading the boards, we decided to try for hotels in New Jersey and glad we did, we booked the Westin, a 4* hotel via Hotwire for $185 which is 1 block from the subway station for the first part of our trip. I should have tried Priceline, but I was so fed up with the rejections. We decided to raise our budget for the 2nd part of our trip to $250 on Priceline but they came back with "if you raise your bid to an additional $48 ($298), a 4* hotel will consider your offer in Times Square". We were tempted, but luckily, we checked Hotwire and they were offering a 4* star hotel in Times Square for $277, so we booked our NY trip with Hotwire.
  6. We have bid as high as $220 on the 3.5* and 4* in all the listed zones. We did book last night thru your HOTWIRE link at the Westin Jersey City Newport for $185 for the first part of our stay (September 27-29), but we are trying to stay in New York at one of the zones for the last 2 nights. We also set up the alerts from Priceline and keep getting emails saying "someone just booked Times Square for $120", but when we go in to bid, we get rejected. I want to say "thank you" for this forum, it really has been helpful in providing insight of how "hotwire" and "priceline" work.
  7. We have tried zones: Midtown East, Midtown West, Times Square, Central Park South, Madison Square Garden and Empire State Building. Star levels: 3.5 plus or higher and our maximum budget is $220. Thank you
  8. My husband and I will be visiting New York for the first time and have been trying to book a hotel via Priceline, Hotwire, and AAA, but the rates for a 4 night stay are more than we expected. We even split our dates, but still have had no luck. We are even thinking about staying out of the city and taking the subway in if the train station is close to the hotel. Can you please assist?
