I put in a bid for $85. It was rejected and said that it would accept my bid if I re-bid at $110. I didn't do that cause I saw that with taxes and fees it would have come out to the same price as if I would have purchased this hotel through the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deals and I wanted to see if I could get it cheaper (I found out what hotel it was going to be cause I looked on this site at what the 2.5* hotel was going to be in advance). I didn't take this offer but rebid WITHOUT them requiring me to add a different area or star level (thank god cause I didn't want to have to wait 24 hours to rebid if they still do that). Anyway, I rebid at $98 per night and it got accepted. So, 2 nights subtotal: $196 Taxes and fees: $38.22 Total Charged: $234.22 If I had gone the route of buying my room at this same hotel through the Express Deals it would have come out to $106 per night plus taxes and fees to a total of $254.68. So my bidding saved me $20. Not much but hey, it's 20 bucks. P.S. It cost me more cause I waited to book. 2 days ago the Express Deals for this same hotel was only $82 a night before taxes and fees. Had I known it was going to go up I would have bought in a couple days ago.
