I'm scheduled to go to Pittsburgh October 23rd to 30th. I have friends in Pittsburgh but I only want to stay with them for 3 days. I would like a 4* hotel for the other 4 days. What days of the week do hotel have the cheapest rates, the beginning, middle or end? Also is it better if I book it now or wait until the last minute to get the cheaper rate?
Suggestions welcomed
I'm suppose to be making another trip to Pittsburgh from October 23rd to 30th. I have friends in Pittsburgh that I can stay with, but I would prefer to only stay with them 2 or 3 days max, don't want to over stay my welcome. I would want to stay in a hotel for 3 or 4 nights and I would prefer 4 or 3.5 stars. I need a hotel for the rest of the time. Given my situation, when is the best time to book a hotel, during the beginning, middle or end of the week? And would I get a better price if I book now or wait until the last minute?
Please help, any suggestion welcomed
Booked through the HOTWIRE link for Crowne Plaza. THis hotel was a little less than what I expected a 3.5 star hotel to be but I can't complain too much, its a good price.
It took me awhile but I finally got one. I was bidding for a 4* but it wasn't working. On the day I was suppose to be traveling I get in panic mode and decided to try 3.5 stars. I won on my first bid for $73, with taxes and I also added Travelers Insurance for $5 each night and the total came $192.32 for 2 nights. I've never stayed at a Doubletree before but its 3.5 stars so hopefully its lives up to the rating. I used the PRICELINE link on here.
I'm new to the board. Please help me figure out what i'm doing wrong. I'm trying to book 4* like this one for 9/9/11 - 9/11/11. I've been trying to bid on priceline website since July and i"ve been unsuccessful. I see people get it for $70-75 but I've been bidding daily and I'm not up to $80 still no luck. There is no big event going on in Pittsburgh that weekend, the Steelers are even away so I know a bunch of hotels must have vacancy. Is there some special secret i'm missing?
4* Miami Central South Beach area condo?
in Hotwire Hotels - Florida

I'm traveling to Miami this week. On Hotwire has a 4* Central South Beach area condo. The Amenities: Condo, Near Beach, Studio, Airport Shuttle, Daily Housekeeping, Complimentary Breakfast and Free Internet. This sounds perfect but then I see the reviews and its 70%. Most people saying that its not a condo but a regular small room. Do anyone know what hotel this could possible be?
