  1. No I haven't booked since it could be any of 3 (or more) hotels. Since it is still 2 months away I was hoping somebody else may book this category within the next month or so which would then identify the hotel. Thanks for your help so far.
  2. By TA rating do you mean the 75% recommended? Does that narrow it down? Thanks.
  3. Hi, please help ID the following hotel: London UK - Kensington/Earls Court, 4*, fitness/restaurant/business/internet, 75% recommendation by customers, May 20-23, $102. Thanks.

  5. Bid $52, counteroffered with $15 raise, used free re-bid and accepted at $53. Best rate on HI site $83.95. Used savingsbarn.com link.
  6. Apr 2 - 19 are firm dates. I do have an alternative arrangement for Apr 2 so Apr 3-19 could work also. I'm looking for something close to Sam Houston Tollway and West Park Tollway 77042 zip code
  7. 3* Houston West Apr2-19, $72, Amenities = suite, breakfast, fitness, pool, business, laundry, kitchenette. Any ideas what this might be? Thanks for your help.
  8. Thank you for trying. I'll post the result if I end up trying this one.
  9. Houston Galleria for April 1-15, 3.5 star Best Value, $69/nt Amenities: suite, fitness, pool, restaurant, business, laundry, high speed, kitchenette. Any ideas what hotel this might be? Thanks for your help
  10. Started at $45 for 3* DT Nashville. Asked to increase bid by $13. Used free re-bid at $48 and was accepted. Hotel website was $109. Your Offer Price: $48.00 Number of Rooms: 1 Number of Nights: 2 Subtotal: $96.00 Taxes and Service Fees: $22.37 Total Charges*: $118.37
  11. Tried to bid 3* to stay away from the 4* Sheraton Marina. Thought would be safe and would get downtown location since 3* Hilton airport rate was pretty high. First bid 3* DT, $85 rejected. Added Miramar $88 accetped. Upon confirmation, they upgraded me to the 4* Sheraton so I ended up in Harbour Island anyway. Oh well, I guess it could be worse. Used Savingsbarn.com link. P.S. Dates were Jan19 for 3 nights
  12. By the way, I just tried to use your Marriott link to book a hotel, but the Entertainment Card rate is not in the drop down menu. Do I have to enter a code directly?
  13. Thanks for the info. I will do that from now on. I guess you don't know what hotel the 2.5* is?
  14. Done. Booked directly with Park Central in NY, and the San Diego trip is the one this thread is referring to. Have booked at HI downtown San Diego as a back up for $89/nt.
  15. The Holiday Inn Downtown has an entertainment discount rate of $89 (courtesy hold with no obligation) for Jan 19-22, which is the same as the non-cancelleable hotwire price. I've booked this for now. Hopefully I can get a bettter hotel (3 or 4 star, or in Gaslamp qtr) closer to my travel dates.
  16. Thanks for your help. I ended up booking directly with Park Central for $159/nt with one of their internet specials. It didn't appear I could save very much with Hotwire for this particular itinerary.
  17. There's a 2.5 star San Diego Gaslamp Qtr for $78 from Jan 19-22. There is no hotel amenities description and there are no 2.5 star hotels in the pinned list. Please help me identify if possible. Thanks.
  18. Thanks for you comments. Yes, the Sheraton is exactly my concern in the 4 star category and it comes up a lot. Then the Hilton Harbor Island is a concern for the 3 star, but I don't know whether the Hilton comes up a lot or not. I heard some pretty bad reviews for the Holiday Inn, so I'm reluctant to pay $89 on Hotwire for it. I wish I knew the best approach.
  19. Jan 19-22, 2.5 star, downtown/Harbor Island - San Diego, Rest/Fitness/Pool/Laundry, Customer favorite, $89. Anyone know which this hotel would be? Thanks.
  20. Hi, I would like to stay near the downtown/gaslamp quarter and I won't have a car. I'm afraid of bidding on the Downtown/HarbourIsland category because it seems all the hotels won are on Harbour Island which is hard to get around without a car. Is it better to bid for another area that is more accessible by tram rather than risk being on Harbour Island? What areas have easy transportation to the downtown? Thanks.
  21. Times Square 3* Any idea which hotel this would be? It's $213 for Sept 6-9. Thanks. Selected amenities include:silkHotAmenities8: Boutique Hotel, Restaurant(s), Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access, Business Center.
  22. Thanks. I'll keep Eastgate tower in mind, but there is now a 3* for $172 listed as Midtown Central (Midtown), Amenities are Boutique Hotel, Business Center. Any idea which hotel this might be?
  23. Does anyone know which hotel it would be for 3.5 stars, no amenities listed (blank), Midtown South location? It's $209/nt Thanks.
  24. curveball, it doesn't look like you're not acting fast enough because availability changes constantly. It now looks like Sept 1st is also not available on Hotwire for the Delta Montreal. However, Sept 2-6 is still available for $75.
  25. It is the one with 3.5 stars. I noticed on Hotwire that Delta Montreal system goes down every night and doesn't come back on until late morning. It might be the same on Priceline, so I wouldn't bid on Priceline while it is showing as down on Hotwire.
