  1. I placed all bids through the PRICELINE links on this board. I was looking for the best deal on a rental for our upcoming trip. Quoted prices for Economy/Compact $52.64/day Bid 1: $25 Economy Counter-offer of $29, which I did not take Bid 2: $27 Compact Accepted Subtotal: $297 Taxes/fees: 160.90 Total: 457.90 Original quote for this size car was: $757.41 including all taxes/fees. I'm very happy with this deal!
  2. I used the PRICELINE links on this board to access the site. Started with $50, ORD South zone. This was not accepted, and they offered me a free re-bid at $60. I declined this, added ORD North zone and re-bid at $53. This was accepted.
  3. I used the PRICELINE link on this board to start my search. :) Starting bid was $40, which was rejected. Raised bid to $45 and it was accepted.
  4. 3 Rooms, Booked through PRICELINE link on this board. Started with $85 for Union Square East Added Union Square West, bid $95 Added Financial District, bid $100 Added Civic Center, bid $110 Added Marina, bid $120 which was accepted.
  5. Hello! I am looking for a hotel from Mar 23-27 in Midtown West or Times Square. Empire State, Madison Square Garden or Midtown East would also work. Will be there for a conference and am sharing a room. We don't mind sharing a bed but would prefer not to if possible. We don't care that much about the star level of the hotel but we realize that the lower we go, the smaller the room/bed will be. Our maximum budget is $220 per night including tax. I plan to purchase the room using the PRICELINE link from this board, and would appreciate any help you can offer.
  6. Started with $65 in Davis, then added Woodland at $70, then added W. Sacramento at $75, then added Elk Grove at $80 and the bid was accepted.
  7. Looked up PL hotels on this board and learned that Westin Princeville was nicest hotel listed in Princeville area. I went to the hotel website and calculated price for our dates, taking into consideration the 40% discount on alternate nights they are offering, which averaged out to $256/night incl tax. I then took 40% off that price and decided to use that as my starting bid. I was surprised that the bid was accepted straightaway, but I'm happy that I didn't have to bid multiple times, and am pleased with that price. The total including tax is $177/night. My advice would be to start with an even lower offer! Thanks to everyone on this board - I use the advice I find here whenever we travel and have found great deals!
  8. I used the PRICELINE link from this forum and started off bidding NMA for $86, then increased by $5 increments, adding M Park and other zones based on the re-bid instructions. I had success on my 6th bid, for $111, at Swissotel.
