Yesterday I tried PRICELINE 5* Madrid starting $110 adding all rebid zones up to $125 The HOTWIRE rate for the previously posted hotel went up to $140 Today I tried PRICELINE 5* Madrid after adding 2 rebid zones got Westin Palace Madrid 5* for $135/night from Sept 4-9. thank you for your help. I always use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your future travel purchases.
  3. Did you end up selecting this hotel? Please post if you did. I am finding the same amenities listing for my trip Sept 4-9/12.

I think there are 4, but would like to confirm. Barri del la Estrella East Madrid North Barajas Airport thanks
  6. Hi, thank you for the priceline bidding strategy posted earlier. Using the site's PRICELINE link to start my purchase, I was able to get 4* The Lenox for 3 nights in first week of may at $235/night. Hotel has a sale for 20% off using code TRIP. I saved 20% more compared to sale and 30% more compared to regular prices. THANK YOU!
  7. Bid 4* Beverly Hills-West Hollywood + Santa Monica-Marina Del Ray $160 for Aug 28-30 and accepted for Andaz West Hollywood! After many days of bidding and multiple frustrations, I am very happy with this result as it seems like a triple threat: great hotel, killer location and awesome deal. I'd love to hear any feedback on the result. thanks,
  8. Thanks for the advice. Will definitely try the same strategy but splitting up the dates. May work out even better as we can spend different times in different parts of the city. Might be able to get a cheaper hotel for the night before we leave at LAX. I'll let you know how it goes. I will forever use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to book my travel purchases.
  9. Tried again: 4* Beverly Hills $130 - 135 - 140 - 145 - 146 then 3.5* Beverly Hills + SM-MDR $150 All were rejected. Need some advice. Basically, we have 2 nights, and really 1 full day to see the sites in LA (Hollywood sign, studios, Rodeo Drive, walk of stars etc.) Seems like we might be able to get a deal in Westwood-Century City, but don't know too much about this area. I thought I could get something for $150 at 3.5* but apparently not. Also, to see the site, do we need a car or not? If we can get rid of the rental then I could up the price to stay in a great location relatively closer to sites. Thanks. I always use the PRICELINE link
  10. Hi, I have just tried the following strategy with FOUR rebid zones for Sun Aug 28 - Tues Aug 30 (2 nights) 4* Beverly Hills $80 - 90 - 95 - 100 - 105 4* SM-MDR $90 - 95 - 100 - 105 - 110 4* Beverly Hills + SM-MDR $100 - 115 - 120 - 125 - 130 Any suggestions for strategy? Max bid would be $150 before I try 3.5* Max bid for 3.5* would be $125 Thanks
  11. Club Quarters $141/night for 2 nights on 3.5* USE+USW+FW+FD with all rebid zones in play. It'll be upsetting to see people getting better deals in the next few days, but at least we have something booked and saved a little, I think. Based on reviews seems like a nice hotel, more businessy and less romantic, but great location. Certainly not how much I expected to pay, but at least its booked now. Thanks for the help everyone.
  12. Got all the way up to 3.5* Embarcadero, FW, USE, USW with all rebidding zones for $126 that was rejected! I kinda really want to book something soon so I can start to look at car rentals and activities. Not sure what to try next. I am a little frustrated that Sunday night is $80, but Monday to Wed seems to be extra expensive. Any strategy suggestions? I am willing to go up to $150 if I have to, but would rather not.
  13. Are the rebid zones: Lawndale, Culver City, Inglewood and Redondo (my only concern is there is one 4* listed at Redondo and don't want to end up that far from the action. Thanks for this strategy. I will always use the PRICELINE links here once I start bidding!
  14. Looking for a place in LA (Santa Monica preferred) for Aug 28-30 (2 nights) I imagine prices might be a bit more than Sept, but close. Are the re-bid zones: Lawndale Culver City Inglewood Thanks, will use the PRICELINE links here once I start bidding!

Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone... Bid $130 Thoughts?
  16. Yes, USE, USW, Embarcadero and FW are all acceptable at the 3.5* level, max bid would be 120, but staying under 100 is preferable. I think a strategy was posted a few days ago, but i think I didn't follow it right. Also, not sure if this is the place to post it, but I wanted to PL a car rental from Aug 24 to 30, pick up in SF city and drop off in LAX. I will always use the links posted here! Thx
  17. Got up to $117 for 4*, looks like it might cost more for a Mon-Wed stay then a Sunday night or Sat-Mon. I think I'll try starting at 3.5* at $80 tomorrow and see what happens Any advice?
  18. Been trying for 2 days to land a 3.5* or 4* in SF for Aug 22-24 (2 nights) Have worked up from $80 to $110/night with no success using rebidding zones etc. I would be elated to get Hyatt for $80 or even $95. Does it make a difference if I have a Canadian address? Should I start with 4* in FW then add Embarcadero or start with both then add USE/USW.... Or just start higher? Thanks This forum is amazing. I have learned so much and hopefully will get a great deal here and for LA for Aug 28-30 as well!
