  9. Hi, We are just beginning our search for a hotel in central London for 2/19 - 2/22. I have found quite a few hotels that I am unable to identify and would greatly appreciate if you could help with any of them please. We may book now depending on which hotels these are or may wait until a little closer to the date and see if some of the prices drop (We got a great deal last year on Hotwire for the Intercontinental with all your help last year but prices are too high this time). Here are the ones I have failed to figure out: 1). 5* Bloomsbury - St. Pancras Station- British Museum area $594 (for the 3 nights - not showing price per night) Business Centre Boutique Hotel Free Internet Smoke-free rooms 100% recommended 2). 4.5* Bloomsbury - St. Pancras Station- British Museum area $641 (for the 3 nights) Free Internet Smoke-free rooms Fitness Centre Restaurant(s) Business Centre Spa Services Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility 80% recommended 4 out of 5 on Tripadvisor 3). 4.5* Westminster- Victoria - Big Ben area $594 (for the 3 nights) Free Internet Indoor pool(s) Smoke-free rooms Fitness Centre Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Centre Spa Services 95% recommended 4.5 out of 5 on Tripadvisor 4). 4* City of London - Towerbridge - St. Pauls Cathedral area $435 (for the 3 nights) Free Internet Pet friendly Smoke-free rooms Fitness Centre Restaurant(s) 70% recommended 4 out of 5 on Tripadvisor 5). 4* City of London - Towerbridge - St. Pauls Cathedral area $568 (for the 3 nights) Free Internet Suite Studio Full kitchen Daily Housekeeping Laundry in room Business Centre 24 hour front desk Self-service laundry 100% recommended 4 of 5 on Tripadvisor This one is listed as an Aparthotel 6). 4* City of London - Towerbridge - St. Pauls Cathedral area $464 (for the 3 nights) Free Internet This one is also listed as an Aparthotel - No ratings shown - saying "Still gathering reviews" Thanks for any insight you can give me to any of these. I have looked myself but don't see exact matches

  11. Thank you very very much thereyouare!!! We've been doing further research and have decided on the Intercontinental Westminster :) Final question before I jump on it .... what are the possibilities its not the Intercontinental and if not, what could it be?? ... I know, nothing is 100% guaranteed but I can't help asking .... I'm just afraid of making a boo boo and wondering whats the worst that could happen :o :) Sorry - I know its a question I probably shouldn't ask but can't help myself (need an embarassed smiley here) Thanks again for your great help and patience!
  12. Thank you SO much!!!!! Do you think the one for $215 is the Intercontinental Westminster? (the 3rd one I listed in my previous post) ... I should have said I think 'this' one is the Intercontinental not I think one is the intercontinental iykwim> or is that a different one??

  16. OK, Now I'm clear :) Thanks for the ID As for the moment I'll be sticking with the Amalfi - for the extra price ($18 / night) I think it's a better deal as it seems like a much nicer hotel. If I do change my booking - Hotwire / Priceline or otherwise I will post here. PS - the Amalfis rates for 'my' dates is a holiday special on a lot of the discount sites - when I e-mailed the Amalfi direct they offered to match the 'special' even though it's not showing on their website.
  17. Sorry, didn't realise I had offended on my past thread! I didn't know what else to do bidding wise as my bids kept being rejected. After I made my last post on the Vegas thread and no-one made any more suggestions for strategy I gave up and booked with the Bellagio and Venetian independently splitting my stay to get the 'good' rates (got a good deal if I remember correctly). I hadn't realised I should have posted regardless of whether I made any more attempts on Priceline ... sorry if I offended. This time around I have a 'back-up' hotel already booked (The Amalfi for $120/night inc taxes) but I'm keeping an eye out for any better deals - hence my question. Do you want me to post what I actually do even if it isn't a Priceline 'buy'?? Thanks
  18. January 1st to 4th (3 nights) $102 Fitness Center Restaurant(s) High Speed Internet Access Pool(s) Business Center Customer Rating 4.3 Anyone know which hotel this is?? Thanks
  19. thereuare, I have just attempted to obtain the Venetian for 24th, 25th and 26th with no success. This is how I bid; Bid1 $120 Bid2 $127 Bid3 $130 Bid4 $135 Bid5 $140 Bid6 $148 The increments are a little off as I was bidding in stg
  20. Thank you all so much for your fabulous advice. We are going to try ror one of TWO options and need opinions 1. Bid on VENETIAN for 24th, 25th and 26th and pay $199/night for the BELLAGIO on the 27th, 28th and 29th. OR 2. Attempt to obtain the VENETIAN for all 6 nights bidding up to $199 / night Now my question is this, Which hotel is better?? Suite in Venetian OR Standard room in Bellagio?? I don't want to attempt bidding on anything until I decide which option I would prefer and I can always use the other option as backup.. Any advice appreciated, Thanks again for all your help.
  21. Hello thenewbie. Thanks for the reply. I don't mind splitting bids but really don't want to split more than once (ie one hotel move). I wouldn't mind paying more for the venetian in order to get the saturday - how much should I start my bidding for and how much should I go up to?? OR What would be my chances of getting the Venetian for ALL 6 nights if I increased my bid and how much would I need to increase it to do you think??
  22. Hi mini_me, does that code work from Ireland as well?? Can it be used to call, for example, the NYNY hotel???? Thanks
