  1. Staying in Vegas 9/15-9/18 (3 nights - thread title is incorrect) and would like to stay in 5* hotel in North or South Strip (excluding Trump hotel) paying a maximum of $100/night. Would it be possible to get a 5* hotel at that rate for those dates? Any advice is appreciated and let me know if more information is needed, thanks!
  2. All bids were unsuccessful today. For my $148 bid on 3* received a counter offer of $201, which I rejected. Given that my desired reservation is in just a few days I went ahead and booked a room in Brooklyn on my own. Appreciate all your help - will use services again!
  3. Hi, I guess I'm not clear. I went to Priceline and confirmed (as you stated) that there is only one re-bid zone for 3* NYC (Coney Island). But it looks like the strategy you gave me is telling me to add as many as 5 re-bid zones if my initial bids are rejected? Maybe I'm misunderstanding something?
  4. Sorry about that. Would like to try 2nd option (least expensive 3* in Manhattan or Brooklyn, then if rejected 2.5* in Brooklyn). Am willing to accept the following zones in Manhattan: CPS, Chelsea, DT, ESB, MSG, MTE, MTW, TS, HK
  5. Hi! I'm staying in NYC the night of 11/9 and would like bidding help. Am willing to stay at any 3* or better in Manhattan, except zones UES and UES and willing to stay at any 2.5* or better in Brooklyn. Am attending a basketball game that night at Barclay's Center (Prospect Heights area of Brooklyn) so would prefer to stay in Brooklyn though Manhattan also perfectly fine. Am willing to pay no more than $150/night. Will just stay at the 1* Days Inn in Brooklyn for $150 if I can't get a deal here. Any advice is appreciated and let me know if more information is needed, thanks!
  6. Cliff, Both promotional codes SUMMER20 and IIRT1 beat the rates that you have. Promotional code SUMMER20 (20% off minimum two night stay) gets you an average of just under $19/night for your dates. Check the Caesar's website...
  7. Sorry for the delay - was having computer problems all week. Used your bidding strategy last night and got Vdara at $99/night! (I bid $99 instead of $98 using your strategy.) Never stayed at Vdara and am pleased with the deal, thanks. Used your PRICELINE link to get deal. Also, the stay is actually for 9/16-9/19 (not 9/18 as I posted earlier). Staying for 3 nights and checking out 9/19.
  8. Staying in Las Vegas 9/16-9/18 and would like to stay in 5* hotel in North or South Strip (excluding Trump hotel) paying a maximum of $100/night. Would it be possible to get a 5* hotel at that rate for those dates? Any advice is appreciated and let me know if more information is needed, thanks!
  9. Used your PRICELINE link for $83/night for 4* Downtown Westin. Extremely pleased with this deal, thanks!!! That $35/night parking fee at the hotel is a real bitch though... will be using your services in the future. Thanks again.
  10. I followed your bidding scheme using your PRICELINE links (added $5 to last couple of bids so max was $120) and got rejected. Received a counter offer of $146 when I bid $100 that I didn't take. Yeah, I would like to try 3.5* for Downtown or Santa Monica. I am also willing to stay in 3* for all the areas I've mentioned thanks...
  11. Yeah, I'm willing to spend a little bit more to stay in Hollywood/West Hollywood/Beverly Hills vs. the rest. I want to try for least expensive 3.5* or better. Note though that my original post said I'm willing to bid on 3* and up. For this scenario, I'm willing to pay more for 3.5* ot 4* than a 3*. Thanks!
  12. Staying in LA 2/17-2/18 (checkout 2/19) and would like to stay in a 3* hotel or better paying a maximum of $115 a night. Would prefer 3.5* or 4* if doable. Don't know much about LA but will be attending Laker game on 2/17 and visiting parts of Hollywood. Would prefer to stay in Hollywood, West Hollywood, or Beverly Hills but Downtown area and Santa Monica also acceptable. Will have a rental car so other suggestions on areas to stay are welcome. Any advice is appreciated and let me know if more information is needed, thanks! Would like to bid and get everything done today if at all possible...
  13. I bid using your strategy last night and got $108/night from 11/13-11/17 at Aria, which I'm satisfied with. I used your PRICELINE link. Thanks!!!
  14. Staying in Vegas 11/13-11/17 (or 11/13-11/16 if cutting out Thursday would significantly reduce per day price) and would like to stay in 5* hotel in North or South Strip (excluding Trump hotel) paying a maximum of $110/night. Would it be possible to get a 5* hotel at that rate for those dates? $110/night is my true maximum as I have zero problem staying at Bally's on those dates for significantly less. Any advice is appreciated and let me know if more information is needed, thanks!
  15. Just decided to stay at the Larchmont Hotel. Shared bathroom hotel but low price ($125 for 1 night) and excellent location...
  16. Tried again last night going $25 over the bids you suggested in your strategy for 2.5* (max $155) but no luck. Was given a "one time" opportunity a couple of times to re-bid $183 but I declined. Just wanted to say I very much appreciate your help with this and will be back the next time I'm looking for a hotel...
  17. I tried your bidding strategy (again using your PRICELINE links) Thursday evening and actually added $15 to each bid but still had no success for 3*. Should I keep trying your 3* strategy or do you have any other suggestions? I'd be willing to go 2.5* for roughly the same prices - do you think that could work? Not willing to stay in NJ where I could probably get a cheaper room...
  18. Well that sucks :) I'll try your latest bidding strategy this afternoon when I have some time and let you know how it goes, thanks. Worst case scenario I've reserved a room at Lurchmont Hotel (Greenwhich Village, shared bathrooms) for $125 with $0 deposit but will exhaust all reasonable bidding options before staying there. Again, very much appreciate your assistance with this!
  19. Follwed your updated bidding strategy a few minutes ago (again using your PRICELINE links) and got rejected again. I'd like to try a 3* or better bidding strategy paying a maximum of $135/night? (Same areas of Manhattan as previous strategy.) Do you have any suggestions for that? If this fails I'll just go look for a deal for a crappy hotel/motel somewhere seeing as how I'll only be in the hotel for a few hours (to sleep) probably. Again, very much appreciate your help and patience with this request...
  20. I followed your bidding strategy a couple hours ago (using the PRICELINE links you indicated) and got rejected. Do you have a suggestion on my next course of action? I'd be willing to do 3* for maximum of $120 or increase my maximum for 3.5/4* hotels to $160 (preferable the 3* option)... do you think either of these options have a reasonable chance of working? Very much appreciate the assistance you've given thus far, thanks!
  21. Hi, I've researched both areas and you're right - I'd rather not be in either area so I'd just exclude them entirely. Thanks for pointing this out!
  22. Staying in NYC 9/3-9/4 and would like to stay in a 3.5* or 4* hotel paying a maximum of $140/night. Any area of Manhattan is acceptable, though would prefer one of the mid-town zones, SoHo, or Financial District (Financial District because the reason I am in NYC is to attend to business in that area). Goal for stay is least expensive hotel 3.5* or better. If this fails would be willing to try 3* for slightly less/night. Any advice is appreciated and let me know if more information is needed, thanks!
