Yup, I used the Priceline link here.

I tried getting the 5* yesterday (June 25) in PALO ALTO. Started with $100 until I reached $180. I stopped there. Didn't even get a counter bid. Then today (June 26), I tried 4.5* Started with $100 until I reached $155. And again, no offer, so I quit. So I reset my browser, and started bidding for 4*. And I got Westin Palo Alto for $110. (see my separate winning bid thread)

Followed the usual technique using re-bid zones. Started with 80, then 90, 95, 100, 105 and finally 110. (Used the PRICELINE link here)

Followed the usual techniques to rebid. Starting bid was $55. When I reached $70, I got a counter offer of $99. I didn't bite. Upon bidding $85, I got rejected still. And that got me worried. Because directly in PRICELINE, they offer the aloft hotel for $101. Then they finally accepted $88. Just $13 bucks savings per night??? Haha! Thanks, betterbidding!

Started bidding from $85 to $150 for Aug 22-24 stay, but unsuccessful. Checked directly Hyatt's and Hilton's website for the price. Noticed that the labor day weekend are cheaper. Created a new series of bids from $100 to $145, but now for Aug 30,31,Sep1 days. At $145, I received a counter bid from Priceline: Add $29 more. So I knew I was getting closer. Instead of dollar increment, I jumped to $150. And got Hyatt. Perfect coz its right next to the Embarcadero BART station. Used the PRICELINE link here. Also used the "Close Browser" technique to re-do the same bids again. Thanks better bidding! :lol:

Got $155 for our stay on Aug 12 to 14, 2011. Was initially targeting Hyatt at Incline Village but was unsuccessful. Checked their website directly and saw that my dates were unavailable. So next I targeted Resort At Squaw Creek. Tried bidding daily from Jul 25 to July 29. The highest I was willing to shell out was $140. Priceline said I get to bid again and keep my selections if I increase my bid to $171. Too high for me, so I stopped bidding. On July 31 I began to try again. Started from 115, 130, 140, 150. Then finally, at 155, Squaw Creek gave in. Thanks a bunch guys!
