  2. Won the Rosen Centre for $95/night using the PRICELINE link here on BetterBidding. Stayed here before when it was 3.5 stars. Hope the extra 1/2 star bump is justified for the large bump in price! 3/18-3/19/15 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $95.00 Subtotal: $95.00 Taxes and Fees: $19.67 Total Charges for Original Reservation: $114.67
  3. Rosen Shingle Creek and Rosen Centre both offer complimentary valet parking for vehicles with disabled parking permits. We've never stayed at Rosen Plaza, but I would assume they do the same there.

  7. Won the Rosen Shingle Creek for $60/night using the PRICELINE link here on BetterBidding. 8. Won the Westin Orlando for $69/night using the PRICELINE link here on BetterBidding. Third time staying at this property and the second win here since the 1st of the year. Happy to be returning! 4/4/14-4/6/14 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $69.00 Subtotal: $138.00 Taxes and Fees: $26.94 Total Charges for Original Reservation: $164.94
  9. Won the Westin Orlando for $70/night using the PRICELINE link here on BetterBidding. Second time staying at this property and happy to be returning. Thanks for keeping up this great website! 1/24/14-1/26/14 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $70.00 Subtotal: $140.00 Taxes and Fees: $27.16 Total Charges for Original Reservation: $167.16
  10. Can you confirm that this was a 4* win? The Rosen Plaza has historically been a 3.5* property (we've won it as such in the past) but it's possible PL bumped it up to a 4. While it's very nice, I wouldn't put it in the same category as Shingle Creek, Hilton, JW Marriott, etc. But I've also found that my opinion doesn't always line up with PL!
  11. Using the PRICELINE link here on BetterBidding, I spent a LOT of time trying various price ranges across Downtown Vancouver. Probably used more rebid zones and attemps than I ever have before. Finally landed this hotel for $97. Clearly it's high season and rates are expectedly pricier than what we are used to here in the U.S. All in all, I'm pretty pleased with the result. Nights: 1 Room Subtotal: US$97.00 Taxes & Fees: US$23.66 Total Charged to Card: US$120.66
  12. Got the Westin for our 2nd and 3rd nights of our weekend trip to Orlando. Appears that all the prices are much higher because of the holiday. About $20 more than what we normally pay for a 4*, but it's still a good win. 1/19/13-1/21/13 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $70.00 Subtotal: $140.00 Taxes and Fees: $27.02 Total Charges for Original Reservation: $167.02
  13. Scored the Sea World Doubletree for $58/night using the PRICELINE link here on BetterBidding. We're spending the entire weekend in Orlando but it seems like the holiday is driving prices up...way up...above what we normally pay for 4* properties. I have never booked a 3* so I only started with one night and figured I could add more nights if the property was decent enough. I didn't want to get stuck with a not-so-nice hotel for all 3 nights. Was happy to get this hotel but when I went to add more nights the price jumped all the way to $71. I decided to press my luck trying the 4* properties again if I was going to pay that much. I got that win at the Westin nearby for the other 2 nights, reported in this priceline hotel thread. 1/18/13-1/19/13 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $58.00 Subtotal: $58.00 Taxes and Fees: $15.12 Total Charges for Original Reservation: $73.12
  14. Scored the Rosen Shingle Creek again (seems to be our home away from home) for $49/night using the PRICELINE link here on BetterBidding. Thanks again for all the great tips and Merry Christmas! 12/14/12-12/17/12 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $49.00 Subtotal: $147.00 Taxes and Fees: $28.11 Total Charges for Original Reservation: $175.11
  15. If that is the resort on S. Apopka Vineland Rd. (SR 535), then I believe that is a warranted change. We stayed there last weekend and won the hotel when it was 3.5*. It is a nice property but it is definitely not 0.5* below other properties like the Rosen Shingle Creek and I don't think it is on the same level as the other 3.5* properties in LBV like the Doubletree and LBV Palace. We had a great stay but I fully agree with the drop in ranking. I was very close to posting a review after our stay just to state that I was disappointed with the rating. Again, it's a very nice property, but it definitely belongs in the 3* category for Lake Buena Vista. Enjoy your stay!
  16. Feeling a bit uneasy that I paid this much for such a low-scoring hotel as reviewed on Trip Advisor but willing to give it a chance. Seeems like a busy weekend in Orlando because all of the other usual zones were bidding extremely high. 11/10/12-11/12/12 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $56.00 Subtotal: $112 Taxes and Fees: $22.94 Total Charges for Original Reservation: $134.94
  17. Scored the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines for $90/night using the PRICELINE link here on BetterBidding. Looks like PL has split the San Diego (Coastal) into new zones. This hotel is now in the San Diego (La Jolla) zone. 10/20/12-10/21/12 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $90.00 Subtotal: $90 Taxes and Fees: $19.49 Total Charges for Original Reservation: $109.49
  18. Scored the Rosen Shingle Creek for $64/night using the PRICELINE link here on BetterBidding. A bit disappointed in the price since it's by far the highest we have ever paid for this property. Still a good deal compared to best rates available online. Thanks, BetterBidding! 8/17/12-8/19/12 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $64.00 Subtotal: $128 Taxes and Fees: $25.32 Total Charges for Original Reservation: $153.32
  19. Scored the Rosen Shingle Creek again (3rd time in 6 months) for $50/night using the PRICELINE link here on BetterBidding. Thanks again for all the great tips! 4/5/12-4/7/12 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $50.00 Subtotal: $100.00 Taxes and Fees: $21.28 Total Charges for Original Reservation: $121.28
  20. Scored the Rosen Shingle Creek again, this time for only $45/night using the PRICELINE link here on BetterBidding. Thanks again for all the great tips! Started the bidding @ $42 and immediately got the free re-bid offer for $51. Ignored that and worked my way up to $45 before getting the win. Booking the same room on Rosen's site OR Priceline's reservation site is $246/night!!! 1/20/12-1/22/12 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $45.00 Subtotal: $90.00 Taxes and Fees: $19.84 Total Charges for Original Reservation: $109.84
  21. Scored the Rosen Shingle Creek for only $47/night using the Priceline link here on BetterBidding. Thanks for all the great tips! 10/7/11-10/9/11 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $47.00 Subtotal: $94.00 Taxes and Fees: $20.40 Total Charges for Original Reservation: $114.40
  22. I was looking for a good 3.5* and originally shooting for the Doubletree or Embassy Suites (and hoping I didn't get the Rosen Plaza.) I was very happy to get the bump up to a 4* for roughly the same price as the recent 3.5* bookings. Using tips and PRICELINE link found here, I started bidding for a 3.5* at $40 and worked my way up in $2 and $1 increments. I ignored the +$15 re-bid offers which started kicking in at $48. Final booking: Renaissance Orlando At Sea World 6677 Sea Harbor Drive Orlando, Florida 32821 8/19/11-8/21/11 Offer Price Per Room, Per Night: $55.00 Subtotal: $110.00 Taxes and Fees: $22.70 Total Charges for Original Reservation: $132.70
