  1. Bids of 50, 55, 58 rejected. Bid of 63 accepted. Note: Bid of 75 rejected four weeks ago. Bid Total: $315.00 Taxes & Fees: $53.05 Total Charged to Card: $368.05
  2. No prob. I should note that my last $150 bid was not officially accepted. They gave me a counteroffer of $180.05 with taxes and fees of $51.30 for a $231.35 total. I agreed to the counteroffer.
  3. I started bidding at $150 for tuesday to tuesday. This was denied and said if I was willing to pay $309 total they could give me a red eye option. I tweeked my dates tues to wed and upped the ante to $185 with the same outcome. I tweeked dates again to wed to wed at $150 and got the $231 total option (which i checked to be much lower than the best advertised price of $323). Overall, i was pleased considering the only cheaper option i could find was $200 nonstop jetblue out of chicago into boston (but would need bus/t into chicago from mich and boston to prov, respectively).
  4. I never used priceline for flights. What a deal! $231 w/ tax The only kicker is that my return flight departs at 6:30 am. I have one connection each way through dulles and newark, respectively. Layovers are both ~1 hour. Sorry I forgot to click the links for booking this. Will do next time.

  6. Bid $120.00 on Feb 28 and was denied, but Priceline gave $19 increase option, which I took. Check-In: Wed, Feb 29, 2012 / After 04:00 PM Check-Out: Thu, Mar 1, 2012 / 11:00 AM Room Subtotal: $139.00 Taxes & Fees: $26.55 Total Charged to Card: $165.55 $18 resort charge $30 valet
  7. parking charge $12.84 thank you for the comment. i actually complained to priceline and they gave me $50 ($10/night over 5 days). i wish i saw your comment before. after the fact, i was surprised to get a priceline win at the hotel viking a few days before on the same bidding strategy. as for the hotel quality, it is probably 2.5*. the suites portion looks like it may be 3-3.5*. unfortunately, a PRICELINE bid would never get a room like that. this is a game it seems more hotels are playing to increase star rating.
  8. offers of $75 and $80 denied on 7.6 offer of $85 denied on 7.8 (with option to increase $25 to $110 - i denied option) offer of $90 accepted on 7.8 taxes $20.10 BE CAREFUL bidding for 3.5* on Goat Island. Priceline essentially deformed the map to include this property (even though it is in Middletown and is "advertised" as such). I think this point deserves a separate post.
  9. 1st offer accepted, taxes $21.58, booked on 6.29 parking charge $28/night
