  1. The Alsip Doubletree is not that far from the Blue Island Metra or the Oak Lawn Metra (about 2 miles). www.metrarail.com For Blue Island, you have the choice of either the Rock Island line (into the Loop at Board of Trade) or the Electric Line which goes to Michigan Avenue with stops at the Museum Campus. For Oak Lawn, you would take the SW Suburban line. That drops you at Union Station. Parking at the Metra stations is about $1.25. If I had a choice, I'd take the Metra. The Metra would be fine to take late at night as well. It's much closer than the Orange line at Midway and certainly do not take the Redline to 95th Street (not the greatest area).
  2. Hi, Tried for Copley Square/Theatre District, 4* and 3.5* up to $85 w/no luck and didn't want to add Quincy Market since I'm not a fan of Club Quarters so added Cambridge and got the Hyatt for $70. I see some people got the Hyatt for cheaper but this is fine by me and I just wanted to book something instead of back and forth. 12/3-12/6 Accepted $70 Total $250 Thanks.
  3. Thanks for your help. The Sheraton will probably work out fine for us but I need to check with other travelers. I don't want to risk it on Priceline. I'll post once if we decide to go this route.

  5. Yes, sorry went to a 3 star. Never ended up staying since my flight got switched to Midway.
  6. Hi, trying to get an idea on which hotel this may be for Hotwire looking to stay 9/13-9/17, icons show: Shuttle, Restaurant, Pook, Fitness, Tennis, Business Center, along with "Customer favorite". Is this the sheraton or wyndham? Also, on priceline, after checking the list, it shows Marriott Gaslamp Quarter for 4*. We are looking for a place with an "outdoor" pool (this hotel is the only one without) and don't want to risk getting this hotel, although I haven't seen anyone receiving this for a 4*. Web rates or this time period are around 250 so really need to get a deal. Thanks for your help.
  7. Was looking on both Priceline/Hotwire for hotels in San Juan, got shut down on Priceline for $100. This popped up today on Hotwire. Hotel, Resort, Beach, Casino, Restuarant, Pool, Fitness, Spa, Golf, 4*. Thought for sure it was the Intercontinental, never even thought the El San Juan would be on Hotwire and still thought it was a good deal so I bought it. Turns out, it's the El San Juan. Beautiful Hotel. Going rates online are around $300. 4 nights at $145 a night, with tax, 649 for 4 nights... Glad I didn't hesitate on this one to try Priceline again..
  8. Needed an O'Hare hotel for an early morning flight the next day. Bid $45 rejected at 5 Star. Went to a 4 Star at 50 and was accepted. Works out well since they have the free shuttle to and from the airport so can take the El right from work and get picked up at the airport. Plus it's so close to O'Hare. For a 5:30 a.m. flight, the closer the better. Dates: November 11th. 1 night.
  9. Hi, Booked on Priceline: Wednesday, September 21 through Sunday, 25th. Resorts, North/La Paloma. First Bid 100. I bid a bit high since I was hoping for the Hilton or Omni. Accepted.
