  1. Amenities: Pet friendly Fitness center Restaurant(s) Business center Internet access Spa services Accessible for visually impaired Accessible for hearing impaired Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Wheelchair accessible Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll-in shower I actually made two separate bookings for this hotel: one for the first two nights under my name, and one for the second two nights under my husband's name. I'm going to sign up for the Hilton HHonors program - not to earn points, but to get the free WiFi benefit, since this hotel charges for WiFi. I was hoping to keep the total stay under $500, but had a hard time finding a lower price unless the hotel was in a lousy neighborhood and/or seemed a little too "budget." We've been spoiled by staying in so many beautiful hotels through HOTWIRE - it's hard to go back to a Comfort Inn-level place these days!
  2. Wow, thank you so much for the insight about the former hotel in the same location - that's hugely helpful. I'm not that scared of the 2/5 number on TripAdvisor, because the Hotwire approval rating is 75%, and there weren't very many negative comments in the Hot.wire user reviews, either. I can't use Priceline because I'm traveling with my family of three, but I'll keep the PL express deals in mind the next time I'm traveling with my husband. Thanks again, and I'll post my final choice when I'm done.
  3. Hello, I'm hoping for help with the same hotel that is mentioned in this thread: Hotwire Hotel San Francisco It's a 3.5* in the Lombard and Van Ness area, and I found a price of $113 on HOTWIRE for January 21-25, 2016. Bidding.Helper lists these amenities: Free breakfast Free Internet Smoke-free rooms Fitness center Pool(s) Business center Self-service laundry Internet access In-room accessibility Wheelchair accessible Accessible bathroom Accessible parking Roll-in shower It seems like it might be the Da Vinci Villa, but like the previous poster, I'm confused because Hotwire lists the TripAdvisor rating as 2/5. If I look at Da Vinci Villa on TripAdvisor, it gets a 4/5 rating; and it's 75% recommended by Hotwire users. Any help is greatly appreciated! -Anne
  4. I got a $95 deal for the first night of my trip (see below) that made it worthwhile to split the stay. Amenities: - Fitness Center - Restaurant(s) - Business Center - High-Speed Internet Access (though it looks like there's a fee for this) As I mentioned in my other post, we'll be taking Megabus from Hartford for incredibly cheap - I've never tried it before, but figure it's worth a shot. Thanks again for everyone's help, especially the great hotel list that makes it easy to do detective work! -Anne
  5. Just got a good deal on Hotwire for the Four Points by Sheraton in SoHo for one night. I see this place listed on the Hotwire hotel list as a 3-star - apparently Hotwire has bumped it up to 3.5 stars for some reason. Amenities: - Smoke Free Rooms - Fitness Center - Restaurant(s) - Business Center - High-Speed Internet Access Somewhat off-topic, but I also just stumbled on the fact that Megabus travels from Amherst, MA, Holyoke, MA, and Hartford, CT to NYC. The tickets start at $1 each way if you book in advance; and my husband and I will pay about $16 total, round trip, from Hartford to the city. That's MUCH cheaper than driving, and certainly cheaper than our original plan to do a combination of driving and taking Metro North. Just thought I'd pass that along - thanks to everyone for the great tips on this board! -Anne
