  1. Decided to book the Wynn based on the list and you were correct! Thank you for your help again

Also we ideally don't want the trump hotel either...due to the recent political climate..haha We would don't mind north strip or south strip or the main part of the strip either. I think the budget would max out at 140 a night before resort fees
  3. 4. Ended up going with the cheapest option in a good neighbourhood. Thanks for the insight, you guys were spot on
  5. thanks for getting back so quickly. Looking at the Cartwright, the rooms seem small but the location is good. With that being said, is it even possible to find a place in the Union Square East, Financial District, Lombard Street - Marina District, Lombard & Van Ness and South of Market - Moscone areas for around 135/night for 3.5* +?
  6. Hello again! Always appreciate this forum - would like your help for another listing. Currently looking at a 3.5 star hotel in Union Square East area for July 20 - 24 2017. Original Price was $243 now at a whopping $135 per night! haha Amenities - Free internet, boutique hotel, business centre, golf nearby, pet friendly, smoke free rooms, in-room accessibility any ideas? based on my (limited) research here I think it could be Hotel Abri?
  7. Thanks for your help. I had a lot of re-bid zones which was great but i started off at $99 dollars and jumped up to $133 by increments of 1 or 2 dollars a time. Struck out so I conceded to Hotwire Hot Deal, 4* hotel in Backbay - Copley...however the 135 dollar price raised to 143! I was quite upset and was hoping Priceline Express would come through. They had it at 142 a night. We ended up with the Sheraton Boston...looking forward to our stay! Thanks again for all your help Pets Allowed Business Center Indoor or Outdoor Pool Fitness Center No Smoking Rooms/Facilities
  8. it worked this time around, the topic changed this time! All the other times the topic of the thread never changed. Thanks for the reminder - looking forward to another win with Boston this time!
  9. Ya not a problem, I actually tried to post my win several times. Each time I put in the win hotel I won it confirmed it but never showed up. I'll try again
  10. Hi, Love this forum and has helped me out a lot. Looking for 4*-5* range hotel within the downtown boston area hoping for any hotel in Back Bay-Copley Square, beacon Hill - west end, Boston Common-theatre district, downtown boston. I'm looking to pay 150 MAX but would prefer 110 range....I'm not sure if thats possible but a man can hope =) Any suggestions on any places that would be within my range? and any nice hotels that would fall under the Star amount? My travel dates are from 11/03/2016 - 11/07/2016 Thanks for your help!
  11. If you could suggest a strategy for 4.5* that would be great. I think 5* might be a bit too much right now as our dollar is doing quite poorly. I think looking at the max of 120 for 4.5* is what i'd be happy with. Sorry for the late reply - holiday season is always busy
  12. Ok here goes: Central Park South Chelsea Downtown - Financial District Empire State Building Hells Kitchen Lower East Side Madison Square Garden Midtown East Midtown West Soho-Tribeca Times Square - Theatre District Union Square - East Village Would it be possible to get 115 - 120 for 4.5* and then 160 or so for 5*? Or is that just asking for too much during that time?
  13. Hi all, Since you guys at better bidding gave me such a great strategy to score a great hotel in LA, my wife and I would be honoured if you could help us score another one in Manhattan. Our preference is basically central park south to the southern most tip of Manhattan downtown. The only places we don't want to live in is Brooklyn, nor Queen's 4.5*- 5* would be IDEAL and if its possible the range would be $150-$160 a night and if need be, $170 Our travel dates are 2/5/2016 - 2/8/2016 I guess with your expertise, is this number even feasible? If not, I may have to change up the entire strategy! Thanks for your help (again)!
  14. All set for my honeymoon! We are very thankful for all the help from the Betterbidding.com Guru's who reply SO quickly on this board. These guys/gals are great! Will let you know how this hotel is - looking forward to using the fitness center...heres to hoping its free Wifi!
  15. Ok - i've consulted the wife to be...and she is at the point of going for 140 a night (OR LESS ;)) would be great in those areas as she doesn't want to stress over this. Anyway you can draw up another strategy for us for $140 at 3.5* I would really appreciate it...again you guys are great!
  16. thanks for listing all of those combos out... sadly, I struck out... 120 seems to be still too little they did however counter with suggesting that I re-bid without changing any of the settings for 157..... The only reason why I am not upping it to 3.5* is because I plan on staying for 6 nights... So where do I go from here?
  17. you guys are so helpful. I think the lowest I would go is 3* as it IS my honeymoon haha... 3* in the 4 areas for $120?
  18. thanks for that, i'd be pretty happy for 120 a night...that seems reasonable but my concern I guess would be parking as well since most of those areas do Valet? Any tips on parking there if I win? I think I will try and bid at 120 and see if I get anything...will post results!
  19. hmmm..I might need to change up the strategy and forego the 4* option. Would 3-3.5* hotels in the same 4 areas yield around 125 or so a night?
  20. Max I went was $148...granted I didn't really want to pay more than $150 USD as it converts to quite a bit in CAD. I think judging from what people are winning, I need to change up my strategy and I have even tried to get 3*/3.5* at around $115 a night with those same areas. Any advice from the gurus? =)
  21. Ended up going directly on the Queensboro Hotel website to book the hotel. Fairly decent property, 15-ish minutes uphill to closest subway station Free parking was a bonus, it was in a lot that was attached to the hotel, but very limited spaces. So if you were able to get a spot, then you DON'T move until you check out
  22. oh I thought I did it was at the end of my sentence... was there a way that I had to do it? "posting it as a reply and win?"
  23. Hi, I am trying to book a hotel room for my honeymoon in July. I've been trying to bid under $200 but no real success in the 4* range in any of these areas. Is it even possible? Would trying to bid closer to the week of the best time for this? We are looking for 7/13/2015 - 7/17/2015 To be honest, we are not picky about which specific hotel we end up at as long as it is somewhat "swanky" - it would be a nice treat for us. Thanks
  24. thanks for all the help! i decided not to go through the whole process of bidding on a hotel and just picked up a good deal in Long Island City through PRICELINE at the Queensboro Hotel!
