  1. Very happy to get the Westin Diplomat for 2 nights pre-cruise!
  2. 1001 16th Street NW, Washington, DC Hotwire Amenities: Restaurant, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business, Spa I am kind of disappointed as I was hoping this would be the Willard (they have the same amenities). This Hilton is scheduled to undergo a major renovation beginning in August, and from what I've read in reviews elsewhere its looking kind of tired at this point. I'll post my impressions after my stay.
  3. Help - I bid for a rental car and now I can't see the status/response to my request. I keep getting a weird error message when I click "check my status". I'd like to call priceline and talk to a person - does anyone know if this is possible?
  4. Rapid City was tough - I bid up from $60 to $75 no luck. Finally had to bid up to $100, won the 2*. I considered using Hotwire, they had a 3* for $119, but with fees and taxes it was over $150. Total with tax on this bid is $119.xx.
  5. 7/5/07 - 7/6/07, bid day of - started at $40, won on 2nd bid. Includes breakfast.
  6. I bid up from $50, won the Marriott across the street from the College Football Hall of Fame for $60. Bid on day of stay.
  7. I first tried for a 3*, started bidding at $65, used all free rebids up to $90, no luck. Started bidding for the 4* at $110, used rebids up to $130
  8. I've heard that the Hertz counter at the Seattle Airport is difficult to deal with. Can anyone confirm or deny this report? thanks!
  9. 3/10/07 - 3/15/07 $115 I was hoping to get it for less, so I used all free re-bids and started at $75, but no luck. I am happy with the Westin, though, excited to try the beds and see if they're all they are cracked up to be!
  10. I started with a $50 bid - rejected free rebid with AC West zone at $52 - rejected free rebid with Somers Point zone at $57 - rejected free rebid with Vineland zone at $60 - accepted at Harrah's Anyone have any tips on staying at this property?
  11. I recently won a bid for the Victoria, BC Marriott Inner Harbor for June 5 - June 11th. I started bidding at $100/night, the bid was rejected, and I had no free re-bid zones. I immediately received a message from Priceline offering me a free re-bid, but I didn't take it and waited 72 hours. After 72 hours had passed I attempted to re-bid at $110, but was once again prompted to increase my bid by at least $22. I did nothing, and the next day I received an e-mail from Priceline notifying me that my 72 waiting period had expired, and inviting me to re-bid (I didn't understand this, because I had waited longer than 72 hours, but after about 90 hours had passed they sent me the e-mail). I re-bid at that point for $110 and won the bid. I booked this reservation on May 25th. I don't have the information on taxes and fees, but I will post that later. In the spirit of full disclosure, I was given helpful and much appreciated bidding assistance for this bid by someone at that "other" travel bidding website. I was planning to post this information there, but I was mysteriously banned from that site, I believe now because I bid in response to the Priceline e-mail rather than through their link. (Although my attempted re-bid was not accepted through their link).
