I recently won a bid for the Victoria, BC Marriott Inner Harbor for June 5 - June 11th. I started bidding at $100/night, the bid was rejected, and I had no free re-bid zones. I immediately received a message from Priceline offering me a free re-bid, but I didn't take it and waited 72 hours. After 72 hours had passed I attempted to re-bid at $110, but was once again prompted to increase my bid by at least $22. I did nothing, and the next day I received an e-mail from Priceline notifying me that my 72 waiting period had expired, and inviting me to re-bid (I didn't understand this, because I had waited longer than 72 hours, but after about 90 hours had passed they sent me the e-mail). I re-bid at that point for $110 and won the bid. I booked this reservation on May 25th. I don't have the information on taxes and fees, but I will post that later. In the spirit of full disclosure, I was given helpful and much appreciated bidding assistance for this bid by someone at that "other" travel bidding website. I was planning to post this information there, but I was mysteriously banned from that site, I believe now because I bid in response to the Priceline e-mail rather than through their link. (Although my attempted re-bid was not accepted through their link).
