  6. After receiving an email offering $10 bonus cash a night I noticed that we need a hotel in the Denver Downtown area a day after arriving in the US. On our incoming flight from Adam to Denver we stay at the Denver Airport Marriott At Gateway Park which was a flight/hotel offer from Expedia.nl. After one night we move to Denver Downtown for some seightseeing and shopping. My first bid of $45+10 bonus cash wasnt succesful but after adding some rebid-zones and raising my bid to $55+10 bonus cash the deal was made. Used the PRICELINE links from this forum.

  13. Using my 9 dollar bonus cash I started bidding for a 3* hotel in the Santa Monica/Marina del Rey area at $69 (60+9) and was refused. I increased my bid with 5 dollar to $74 (65+9) and won the Courtyard By Marriott Marina Del Rey. Happy with my win, complimentary parking and nice location.
  14. Won the Westin Colonade Coral Gables 4* for 80 dollar without taxes, 10 nights for total price of 926 dollar. I would have preferred the Sonesta, just as last year, but the Westin looks pretty nice as well, so happy with my win! My bidding strategy: Selected 4* Coral Gables... Bid $55, added re-bid zone... Bid $60, added re-bid zone... Bid $65, added re-bid zone... Bid $70, added re-bid zone... Bid $75, added re-bid zone... Bid $77, added re-bid zone... Bid $80 and won!
  15. Unfortunately no succes up to 85$. Will keep on trying because I have enough time till August 8. And off course follow this thread. Thanks sofar!!
  16. This year my girlfriend and I are going to Miami (and NYC - see other topic). Last year we stayed in the Sonesta Bayfront hotel at Coconut Grove. We really liked the area and would like to stay there again. The Sonesta would be great but all the other 4* hotels are fine. Last year we payed 67$ per night with priceline (60+7 bonus cash). Can you help me with a bidding strategy? We will be staying from august 8 till august 18.
  17. I used the boards Expedia link for booking the Salisbury yesterday evening. Went to the Dutch Expedia site for my booking, total costs are 463 Euro = 665$. Nice price for a backup hotel with a good location and pretty good tripadvisor rating. Ill keep on trying to get a better hotel for a cheaper price, so thanks for all your help!
  18. Thanks, once again! Will try the new bidding strategy within the next 2 hours when I arrive home after work. Does anybody know anyting about the Salisbury Hotel in NYC? Its available at Expedia for 700$ for 4 nights. Good deal or can there be better deals? Maybe nice as a backup instead of the Hilton Penn Station (which I didnt book yet!)
  19. Unfortunately no luck with bidding up to 100$ at the Jersey City area. I am willing to raise to 125 to try again. Can you help me again with a bidding strategy?
  20. Thanks, Nice deal but maybe a little to expensive for me. I'll wait for the bidding advice for Jersey city. Hopefully someone can help me!
  21. Thanks for your answer. For now I am reconsidering my options: 1. Book a hotel with cancellations options (e.g. Hilton Newark Penn Station 500$ for 4 nights including taxes) and try again Priceline in mid august for central NYC; 2. (Try to) Book a 4* hotel with Priceline in the Newark Jersey City area for maximum 100$ a night (excluding taxes). Maybe you can help me with option 2? I see pretty much wins on the 4* hotels in Jersey City for around 100$ a night and would like to try this also. The available hotels are all pretty good: Newark - Meadowlands (Jersey City) 4* Hyatt Regency On The Hudson 4* W Hoboken 4* Westin Can you suggest a bidding strategy?
