  1. Used the BiddingHelper.com from this site. Bid $100... Rejected, but was offered a rebid at $120... I took it rather than trying to rebid at $110, and won Holiday Inn Express. Not terrible, but was hoping for cheaper.. :) HI Express website shows $149/159 per night, and Hotels.com shows $173 and PRICELINE EXPRESS offers room for $172 (?!).
  2. Need a night before our cruise. Was originally trying to get something on Miami Beach, but evidently it was out of our budget (tried any 3.5* and 4* up to $160) and failed. Decided downtown would be the next alternative. Bid $90, failed. Bid $100 and got the Marriott. I was a bit surprised because I was expecting to hit B2 before anything else. And based on the list view for the same timeframe: B2 - $249 Marriott - $259 Express Deal had (something) listed for $150 (only 3.5* hotel listed for downtown). I'm pretty satisfied, nice high user-submitted ratings, good location. Bid - $100 Tax/Fees - $21.68 Total - $121.68 Thanks BB - and of course, I used your PRICELINE link. ;)
  3. Started at $45, went up by $3 via 'free rebids' until I got to $63 on my second last re-bid. Jumped to $69 because I didn't want to try again. :) I was a little saddened that I couldn't get it cheaper on a Monday than the typical weekend bids, but I can't complain really. And, of course, I used the PRICELINE link on the board for my travel purchase.
  4. Originally bid $40.. but that failed.. Was offered a 'free rebid' for $53.. I thought, sure, why not.. I thought I'd get the Hyatt, but instead got the Courtyard Marriott.. Slightly disappointed, since it's one of the few 3* hotels that doesn't offer free breakfast.. But I guess I can't really complain for $53/night.. At least the pool is indoors.. and there's free wifi.. And possibly flatscreen plasma tv (not all rooms).. We'll see! Thanks BetterBidding! And of course I used your PRICELINE link..
  5. Well, I took a quick look for the 3 Cranberry hotels.. Redroof Inn - does not look like they have internet at all.. :) Marriott North - $10/day wifi Four Points Sheraton North - free highspeed internet (does not specify wifi) Maybe I'll try these places as well then... (at least the Marriott and Four Points Sheraton...)
  6. Hi all.. Great forum. :) I noticed some of the amenities on PriceLine are not up to date.. For example, in Grove City, the Holiday Inn Express offers free wifi, but it's not listed.. (which threw off my planned search).. So I was looking at PL in Cranberry, and noticed that none of the 3-star hotels offer complementary breakfast.. Or free wifi.. Rather than call them all, I thought I might ask here... Btw, for the record, I've attempted to book at Grove City (Holiday Inn Express, 2.5-star (only 2.5+ hotel in the area)): $40 - rejected $45 w/rebid - rejected $50 - rejected (wife) $55 w/rebid - rejected (wife) grrr... :) One thing I find strange. PL only shows upto 2.5-star hotels in the area, where HW looks like it offers a price on a 3-star hotel...?
