  1. I think I understand the rebid process but I may have gotten it wrong - please bear with me as I go through an example. Say, I am interested in a 3* hotel and all three zones A, B and C offer them and I don't care where I get. Can I try the following combinations after each failed bid A AB AC BC ABC Suppose now my priority is A>B>C and zone A is the most expensive and B and C are more or less the same (going by hotwire prices) - then how do I arrange my bids? thanks
  2. 3* hotel in the Burlington - Woburn - Lexington area with amenities smoke free rooms fitness center pool business center laundry facilities (self service) high speed internet access I clicked on hotel names link which brought in several hotels in the area but the icon lists didn't match. They are very sneaky about it.
  3. it isn't simply because it is labor day weekend. Boston has been heating up since the last few months as far as rentals and hotel rates go (may be signs of economic recovery leading the nation). I am seeing 3* suburban hotels with $100 price tags on hotwire.
  4. I would like to bid on a room that has microwave and fridge in the Boston Metro West area. I believe hotels like Hilton Garden inn and doubletree suites have 'em. If I bid on a 3* I don't want to be stuck with hotels like crowne-plaza, Newton or Aloft, lexington (element is OK). This is for stay Sun-Thu every week for several months. How do I bid? Thanks
  5. thanks. would I get better deal if I wait until sunday to bid for that night stay (it kind of makes sense to me) or should I do it on friday itself for the next sunday through wednesday? Any way my current lease isn't up yet. Hence I have a couple of months to revise my game plan.
  6. yes, I have a house to go to remaining 3 days of the week. I probably could make it work for only 3 nights/week if I leave my house in the early hours of monday - it is a long drive though.
  7. I can be flexible when it comes to location and star ratings but I cannot make 4 separate reservations for each of the 4 week days. I am afraid this will severely limit my getting good deals.
  8. apartment rentals around boston western suburbs have become expensive. for someone living out of a suitcase sunday through thursday (4 nights/week), I thought I could just make priceline bids every week and stay in hotels. If I can get a 3-3.5 star hotel consistently for around 50-60 dollars I will come out way ahead. Is this doable? Are there any gotchas I am overlooking?
