  1. Hello. I actually found it on Last Minute Travel, although in this case it's not really "last minute"). However, that rate isn't there anymore -- At least not for my stay date. In fact, it's now almost $100 more than what I paid.
  2. Hello again. I just wanted to check back to let you know that I found a really good rate at the Holiday Inn Express on 17th Street, so I booked that instead of going with Hotwire this time around. I know that it's not an amenity-filled hotel, but I know that I like the area, and it's totally refundable up to three days prior to check-in (not to mention that it gets good reviews on TripAdvisor). I'll keep checking back with Hotwire, but I'll probably end up keeping my HIE reservation unless something really fantastic pops up. Thanks for your help! :D
  3. Yes, those are the amenities that came up on my search. If it is indeed that Crowne Plaza, I think I might be able to get a similar rate elsewhere that's refundable. Is that the one on State Road 84?
  4. Sorry about that. I did go back on the previous thread and posted my result. It's very possible that Hot.wire re-named some of their areas -- For instance, there was nothing listed for Dania Beach -- Only Fort Lauderdale Intl Airport area. However, the ratings and amenities seem to be the same, although the price is now $159 instead of $155. What hotel do you think this would be?
  5. Sorry I didn't get back on this sooner -- I had forgotten that I was supposed to report back. This hotel was indeed the Renaissance Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale.
  6. This is for a one-night stay, Feb. 5-6, 2015. 95% approval rate, 4 out of 5 TripAdvisor rating, Fort Lauderdale Airport area, $155 rate. Amenities are: Airport Shuttle Smoke Free Rooms Fitness Center Pool(s) Restaurant(s) Business Center Self service laundry Internet access Anybody have a clue?
  7. Okay, I posted the results for my previous stay on that original thread. Hopefully I'll be able to get my current question answered now?
  8. Hopefully I'm posting this to the right place. Here are the details of my trip from January 7, 2012: *** Hyatt Place Ft. Lauderdale Airport-North 1851 S.E. 10th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL, 33316 Check-in Sat, Jan 7, 2012 3:00 PM Check-out Sun, Jan 8, 2012 12:00 PM Amenities See description Airport Shuttle Smoke Free Rooms Free Breakfast Fitness Center Pool(s) Business Center High-Speed Internet Access Rooms 1 Rate per night: $69.00 Nights: 1 Rooms: 1 Tax recovery charges & fees: $14.03 Subtotal: $83.03 Trip total: $83.03
  9. Sorry, I wasn't aware that I had to do that -- I'll remember that for the future. For the trip this past January I actually did end up taking the Hotwire offer (through Better Bidding's link, of course). I do realize that February is prime-time cruising season and rates are higher than most other months; however, the stay in question is for Sunday night to Monday, which generally isn't a peak cruising day like a Saturday or Sunday. Historically, is there much chance that Hotwire (or Priceline, for that matter) would lower their rates a little closer in? And could someone provide the answer to my original question?
  10. Since the trip in the post you linked occurred this past January, then no, it's not a replacement. This is a brand-new stay taking place February 17-18, 2013. The amenities are: smoke-free rooms, fitness center, pool(s), restaurant(s), high-speed internet, business center, accessible path of travel, in-room accessibility, handicapped parking, roll-in shower
  11. Hello! For the night of February 17, 2013 there's a four-star in the Downtown/Las Olas/Port Everglades zone for $134 with an 85% recommendation rating. Would this be the Renaissance, Hilton Marina, or something else entirely?
  12. Thank you. I've actually done some research and found the answer to my question, which is that it is, indeed, the Hyatt Place North. Since I don't know that I'd want to reserve a room 7 months in advance I'm not going to be making a purchase just yet, but I'll definitely do it through either the PRICELINE or HOTWIRE option on BetterBidding when I do decide.
  13. It's $69.00 for the night of January 7th, 2012, located in the Las Olas-Downtown-Port Everglades area, and the icons are: shuttle, non-smoking, complimentary breakfast, workout room, pool, business center and high-speed internet. It sounds like the Hyatt Place North, but I can't believe they would be featured on Hotwire for that cheap at that time of year. What do you think?
