Started at $100, raised by increments of $5 (offer to increase to $120 after first failed bid). Used PRICELINE link as always...now only issue getting a decent priced hotel in Boston :)

First bid accepted; used the PRICELINE link to bid. Frustrating because I starting bidding 2 days ago at $85 and went upto $105 to be rejected. Today started at $105, but happy with the win as it seems like a decent hotel within walking distance of some major attractions

Is it because I am bidding too early? I have tried upto $90/night for Dec 27-31. I am coming to Houston for a sporting event and figure this is best area to stay in based on reviews (wasn't sure if downtown was better option). Am I unsuccessful as this is too far in advance? There are prices for pre-paid to some hotels in the area for $118/night, which is pretty cheap from where I'm from, just I figured to get a better deal through Priceline.

Can anyone recommend...prices in Manhattan are just too crazy...

I stayed for $155 for 2 nights at the Hilton earlier this month...guess I wasn't getting that lucky. Don't really want to spend $1000 for 3 nights, but it's getting pretty damn close since my last bid rejected was a total of $917 for 3 nights...$259/night rejected. What to do? Split the stay?

Not a great price, but not too bad for a 4* Tried at $70 - REJECTED Added Denver (Stapleton) - $75 - REJECTED Added Denver (Airport DEN) - $80 - REJECTED Added Denver (Tech Center South) - $85 ACCEPTED Now I need to find Ski Resort for Jan 21-23; in town for b-ball game on the Monday, but wanted to take advantage of the slopes - any suggestions?

Have finally tried the re-bid process...to summarize I have Central Business District Convention Center French Quarter Garden District New Orleans East Upto $108 and all rejected for Sept 9-12/05 Perhaps I should wait 72 hours and give it another go...

Bid on 1 zone, but am not sophisticated enough in all honest to take risk of bidding in another zone, so I guess I'll just wait the few days and update everyone accordingly. :)

Booked hotel (under 3 star) for $41 on first try in Auburn Hills, coming in from Toronto to watch Pistons game. First tried Windsor for $35 (declined), got this one which I think is a decent rate for the night.
