  1. still hunting for the Intercontinental on 12/11 for one night. I'm checking PRICELINE EXPRESS today and shows 4 star hotel for $153 and user rating of 9 but is this the right list of amenities? Indoor or Outdoor Pool Restaurant Fitness Center Free Parking Free Internet Business Center
  2. I was hoping to target around140 (with taxes) for a 1 night stay
  3. Yes. I'd like to see if I could possibly bid and get the Intercontinental a bit cheaper, but I belive I'd be happy with the Hyatt Regency if the price is good. I only show 2 hotels in the Priceline list for downtown right (Hyatt and Intercontinental)?
  4. Sorry. I guess I missed the sister site recommendations on my last trip. Will do going forward. The priceline hotel list only shows 2 hotels under the 4* so I was hoping to bid and get that hotel versus the other choice (Hyatt Regency). $183 all in isn't bad but I was hoping to get a better rate by using Price.line bidding (Previous trip last year around same time I snagged same hotel for $119 via LMT)?
  5. Provided follow-up to previous thread. Thanks! Advice on getting the Intercontinental on Priceline?
  6. I ended up doing direct booking (outside) at the Drury Inn and Suites Grove City since I couldn't be certain that I'd get that particular hotel. Paid a bit more but at least I didn't have to worry about not getting the right hotel and availability to bring my dogs. Thanks for all the help on this thread!
  7. I am looking for a 1 night pre-cruise stay at the Intercontinental Miami on December 11 (2015). Best price I could find is $162 + taxes/fees about 200/night. I see from the PRICELINE list that there are only two 4* hotels listed (Intercontinental and Hyatt Regency). I'm thinking it might be easy to identify and win on my own bid? Any suggestions on trying to get this specific hotel and a good start-bid/buy-bid?
  8. It just shows extra listings for ACCESSIBLE like Blind, Deaf, Handicap parking, Roll-in shower etc. Everything else seems to be the same...
  9. stay is from 7/9 through 7/12 (checkout on 7/13) 2 adults and 1 child
  10. Is there a way to identify the hotwire hotel listed as 3* in the Columbus South (Grove City area). Amenities listed are: Free parking, free breakfast, indoor pool, fitness center, pool, business center, internet access, golf nearby I was hoping that it's the Drury Inn and Suites?
  11. Grabbed the deal and got the Sheraton MTW. I think that's a great deal for 139! Thanks for all the help
  12. Gotcha. I don't mind paying a little more for a nicer room/area but was trying to limit the budget to around 225 with taxes or so. I was hoping that if I got a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal as you mentioned that I could call hotel and request a cot or similar for my son to sleep on. What do you think of the MW Express Deal for 139? Can you ID or think this might be too risky of a deal?
  13. Thanks for the suggestions. Can I have your advice on these? 1) HOTWIRE has the Sheraton for 199.00 (not sure how good a deal this is orhow nice the hotel is but shows as a 3 star? 2) PRICELINE shows EXPRESS DEAL Hells Kitchen 2.5* for 175 Free Breakfast, Internet and Business Center. I wonder if this might be the Comfort Inn which is only 2 blocks away and is new? If it isn't well who knows? 3) PRICELINE EXPRESS DEAL MTW 4* for 139? Free internet, Pets allowed, Restaurant, Business Center, and Fitness Center. Have any idea what hotel this is? Says guest rating is 8.0 / I searched priceline regular section based on guest rating, star rating and amenities but can't ID perfect match? This might be a good deal though right?
  14. Done. We are going to be changing flight to Newark or LaGuardia to arrive on 11/23. Hoping to arrive by mid to late evening. We were hoping to possibly walk to a popular restaurant for dinner but that's about it. Closer hotel to pier will avoid us having to pay cab/taxi to get there on Sunday AM. TS and MTE don't look to far but if ends up not being walkable the cab fare shouldn't be too expensive right?
  15. Hi all. Heading into NYC for the first time every to sale out of Pier 88 (711 12th Avenue) on the Norwegian Breakaway on November 24th. So we fly into NY and are looking for a decent hotel (I have no clue what star rating to start with) to stay for 1 night precruise on November 23 for 3 people (2 adults, 1 15 year old). Another cruiser suggested the Comfort Inn Midtown West since it's only 2 blocks walk to the pier. Room is $219 but doesn't have accommodations for 3 that night. The Comfort Inn is in the Hells Kitchen area and looks to be the closest area, but MW, ME and TS also look like they'd work as well albeit maybe with a short cab-ride? Can you provide suggestions as to hotel suggestions and bidding areas Please?
