Been trying for over a week, using all the zones to get a 3.5 or better, did not want to spend that much. Do you think asking for three rooms drove the price up?

First try, guess I could have started for less but NOLA during Mardi Gras season at the Marriott NO is great.

Started with french quarter @$84, Priceline asked for $109, went down to $80 and added downtown and got it. I heard good things about this hotel, let's see...

First tried French Q 4* for $70, $75 & $79 before trying downtown for $65, first try, maybe could have gotten it for less?...stayed there before, great location, great hotel...

I'm happy, last week 3* in this area were going for $130 -$135, prices are dropping...

I tried $120 for 3* in NMA-River North and lost. Now I see a winning bid for the same at $130. Will the price comtinue to rise or is ther a chance it will come down.

I'm trying to get 4 rooms in NMA-River North or 6/17 - 6/20. I try $105 for 4*and 3 1/2 * and $100 for 3* after seeing others get in fot those bids. Does asking for 4 rooms hurt my chances and what's my next best move.
