Super 8 was a good option but a bit too far from Venice beach. For this reason, we chose Ramada Inn Marina del Rey.

But we did not book through Hotwire or Priceline.

I first tried 3.5 star Downtown St. Louis and bid $50 and was rejected.  
Next I bid $55 for a 3.0 star again Downtown and finally I got St. Louis City Center Hotel 3.5*   

Used the bb PRICELINE link, as always.

I used BB HOTWIRE link and just booked a hotel in the North area of Springfield (IL) with HOTWIRE. Ended up being the Ramada Limited North 
(95% thumbs up). Total (USD)  12.03 incl. tax for 09/16/17 (Sat night). Incredible price !!!

First I tried using your link to PRICELINE to bid on Hotel Lincoln Park.

I started at $ 100,110,120,130 but rejected each time.
 
Then I made the comparison of Days Inn 2 * Wrigleyville - Lakeview with Hotwire and Hotel.com and believe it or not Hotel.com was cheaper.

So I made the booking with the cheapest.

I'm a little afraid of these hotels.

Perhaps a two-star better than 3-star ?

I see 2-star hotel in the Loop - Millennium Park area. $ 123

We arrive by plane at O'Hare. We plan to visit the city by subway.

Hi - I'm looking at PRICELINE for Chicago for 5 nights of Sept. 11 th. until Sept. 16 th. I see that the prices are very high for this period. 
What's going on there ?
We are interested close to the center for minimum a 3 star hotel. What is a realistic price for that period. 
Our budget is $ 110 per night incl. taxes. Do you have any idea what I could do ?

I start to bidding for a hotel but I won a studio !

I'm little bit disapointed. I think you need to clean the room by yourself.

On your London hotellist there is no studio to see.

Price was 3 x 95 + tax & fees 70.83= total € 355.83

Started at $80 for 4* and rebit for 4 zones until 110 with no results

After 4 times I started for 3* at $80 and rebid until got it at this price.
